Australia Artur’s Advent calendar day 21. A nose more pastry-like than other Australian rums with vanilla and butter caramel. In the background, fresh vegetal notes and yellow fruits. The palate is also pastry-like with coconut and, in contrast, a nice vegetal bitterness. The finish is rather long on fruits and bitter vegetal notes. A rum with a somewhat cloying sugary impression that costs it some points but a very pleasant tasting.

#5776 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a new sub brand that's being launched. The story behind it is that they're actually the leftover barrels from Black Tot blends og just barrels that didn't fit the Black Tot Profile. This is a light Belize release with nice cherries, spice, chocolate, tobacco and light wood.

It has a slightly fiery note, but that's purely due to the spices - otherwise, the profile is primarily very pleasantly round and balanced. Fruits of pear and banana, pepper and allspice, as well as elegant sweetness from caramel and vanilla sugar complete the profile. Very accessible and simply delicious.

Artur's Australia Advent calendar 2025 door 21. Nice nose, again lots of fruit, coconut and cherry, also woody and some chocolate as well as butterscotch. On the palate similarly, here a bit of eucalyptus is added.

Artur's Australian Advent calendar: Again one of the better rums in the Advent calendar. On the nose dried and candied fruits, as well as some wood and caramel. On the palate pleasant milk chocolate and in the end a nice harmonious finish. Alcohol very well integrated.

Tasted as a blind sample. On the nose, yes it is probably an Australian profit with yellow fruit and caramel. The palate is much less typical, maybe the dilution plays a role. This bottle could be interesting for a beginner in rum.

A new rum brand! The Rum Trail produced by Elixir Distillers complements the work done on Black Tot, but with juices from a single source, vintage, slightly reduced, but above all affordable. In short, easy-sipping at your fingertips, or a great entry point for beginners. While the whole range was really nice and tasty, this Australia 2007 left its mark on me. It's really out of the ordinary, with grapefruit, large citrus fruits, pineapple and background notes of eucalyptus. Not insanely intense, but really intriguing, with good length and a fruitiness that's quite unique for Australia. One of the great surprises of the show. NB: Belize & Jamaica were very cool too, and will be described in the next section.

Dunderhuts Advent calendar Australia: Nose a bit alcoholic then fruity sweet. Mouth at first pretty simple, mild, almost watery then the alcohol kicks in. Medium-length finish with slight sharpness. Doesn't really grab me.

Australia 2007 is a really nice dram, easy to drink but very consistent with the rum profile despite the low abv

Tried during a stopover in Munich at Tara Spirits. Unfortunately, this bottling is not really exciting. In my opinion, way too diluted, hardly any finish to speak of, it was just gone. Nothing I need.
