#5756 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a really nice rum with very good balance and near perfect ABV integration. A complex rum with nice roasted wood notes and spices belended with nice fruits. Comes in a beautiful box and carafe.

Goûté en sample. Les VO VSOP et XO de cette marque m avaient déjà beaucoup enthousiasmé au rhumfest. Là on touche à la haute couture de cette marque. Une très belle complexité, mais avec beaucoup de cohésion et d'équilibre . A l aveugle j aurais pu imaginer comme provenance la Réunion. Au début de la dégustation j ai presque regretté qu il n y ai pas un peu plus de degrés, mais Finalement sa puissance aromatique fait le job .

Whisky Live Paris 2025 - to be tasted again to confirm the score and notes. DBM was the Surprise of RhumFest2025, but only at WLP were available the High end releases, especially this celebrative carafe. It reminds me somehow the old agricoles, is fruity - with oranges and tropical fruits - and woody with spices and vanilla notes.

A l'image de chez New Grove par exemple, le degré ne fait pas le plaisir, ou ne rime pas avec un manque d'intensité. Cette cuvée qui célèbre le 160ème anniversaire de la distillerie Bonne-Mère en Guadeloupe est particulièrement onctueuse, fruitée (banane, fraise), une petite olive également, et pas mal d'épices. Le bois est parfaitement fondu & intégré, il porte bien les aromes. Très cool.

Je ne note que le jus. Sinon c’est trop cher (349€), ce prix justifie la jolie carafe qu’on sort sur la table !
