Rum tasted blind at the start of the lineup. No problem guessing it’s one of the pure juices. The Guadeloupe-Marie Galante origin comes to mind quite quickly. It remains quite classic with woody notes, orange zest, pepper, anise and dry herb.

#5768 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. You don't see too many Pere Labat's being bottled by others and this one is a pretty good one. A nice and spicy well balanced rum with fruits, agricole mint and some floral notes.

08-11-2025 - Rate 7.6 Have had a few Marie Galante Père Labat bottles before. This one is I bit behind the other once. Ti be honest I have not tastet many Père Labat rums but the 3 I have tasted from RDL has more to offer. Nose with wood, spice and citrus. Palate also wood and spice but with a hint of chocolate and dried fruits. Short finish dominated by wood and dried fruits.

Very delicate rum, maybe resembles little bit the Neisson. Nose: Delicate. Herbals, eucalyptus, grass, flowers. Something like dust, cardboard, hay. Very gentle vanilla, citrus, cherry plum, confections. Well, quite interesting. Palate: Good balanced. Little bit reminds sweetness, but actually it's dry, gentle. Yellow fruits, like dry apricots, some honey, sugarcane juice, agricole. Herbals, grass, olives, plastic, yellow flowers, ginger, little bit peppery & spicy. Aftertaste: still spicy, ginger, herbals, flowers. Some wood. Conclusion: so, it's a good but typical agricole from Guadeloupe (Marie Galante). Very similar to the many others. But it's a good sample. You can try it.
