Oh yeah, this time a pretty vegetal Hampden (??), but it doesn't matter. The tropical fruits and esters are still easily recognizable. A pretty awesome rum, I like having it here with me :)

Note: Activity at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement in evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Still a very well-made Navy Strength rum! Was already great before, now it is 1 year younger and only from Clarendon and Long Pond. Alcohol is well integrated, nicely spicy with dried fruits, overripe banana and pleasantly woody. Slight tobacco notes. I think I like the predecessor blend better but would have to compare. Price-performance ratio fits, brings a lot of funk into drinks without being overwhelming. Perfect entry into the world of Navy Strength rum.

#5790 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This one was the best one in my mind. Nice wood with some fruits, caramel and floral notes. The palate is spicy and light dry.

Tasted at Rhumfest Paris 2026 with the whole range. This blend of Jamaican Clarendon/Long Pond rums offers a fruity nose, light esters and wood, spices. The palate convinced me much less because of its spicy sensation.

Small CDI Core Range X-Tasting: I can't see that this rum is a blend of Clarendon and Long Pond. On the nose very fresh/floral with citrus fruits, banana and really very light esters. Also cinnamon, which comes through stronger on the palate. For me, from the palate on, very spicy/sharp. Not suitable for drinking neat, possibly interesting in a drink.

WLP: dried fruit, banana, fermented notes. Not crazy, but not bad. Very strange this "new" range from Compagnie des Indes.
