#5742 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is yet another nice bottling straight from the barrel. The good thing about these releases is that each release can be so very different from the last one. This one has very good ABV and wood integration with nice fruity and spice notes.

WLP 2025 tasting. My first real SftB. Never had the opportunity to taste this range, which on paper seems very expensive for its age. Vintage 2021, from Adrien winery, distillate of pure cane juice aged 4 years in casks containing Neisson profil 105 Bio. 👃&😋 Ok, fresh, sunny sugar cane, typical of the distillery, candied citrus (light), woody already elegant, not too present, roasting, freshness, light brown sugar, floral aspect. Quite lively on the palate, more oak, spices, light pepper, herbaceous and aniseed notes, very light caramel, blood orange jam. Nice, but didn't transcend me.

Sehr frisch. Klebstoff, Gras, Oliven. Zuckerrohr, wenig Würze und Holz. Komplexe Zitrusnoten. Am Gaumen sehr kräftig, um einiges würziger. Guter, langer Abgang. Ein kräftiger, junger und wilder Neisson mit reichlich Klebstoff und Zitrusaromen. Man erahnt das Potential, aber schlichtweg zu jung abgefüllt.

A fairly classic Neisson overall, rather good, with citrus notes for once. I like its woody side. Slightly floral, herbaceous with notes of caramel on the finish. The alcohol is very well integrated.

Ein 4 Jahre alter Neisson abgefüllt für die Whisky Live 2025. Grasige Agricole Noten, Zitrusfrüchte und leichte Holznoten. Paar Jahre mehr Lagerung würden der Abfüllung sicherlich gut tun, aber Potenzial ist vorhanden

Ohhh… sehr lecker! Verkostet zusammen mit dem RX25049. Der hier wirkt jünger, frischer, fruchtiger, grasiger. Die Nase ist sehr fruchtig (Zitrusfrüchte) und mit den typischen Agricole-Noten (Gras, Zuckerrohr). Dazu Honigsüße und gebrannte Nüsse. Ähnlich geht es am Gaumen weiter. Der Alkohol ist spürbar. Warmer, grasiger Abgang mit nicht zu viel Holz.

Enfin, deux Single Casks Straight from the Barrel, sortis spécialement pour le Whisky Live : 2021 Fût 278 – 58.9% : 4 ans en fût de cognac de 600 L, chai Vevert. Profil puissant, très marqué cognac. Trop vif pour moi. 2021 Bio Fût 698 – 56.9% : 4 ans en fût de 225 L ayant contenu du Profil 105 Bio. Plus sur les épices et la canne, et clairement mon préféré des deux.

Tasted on the occasion of Whisky Live Paris 2025. Interesting nose, quite complex, it's fresh with herbal and citrus notes, but also has nutish and meaty notes. On the palate it's unmistakably agricole, it's well balanced, alcohol is well integrated. It's not my favorite style but it's well done.
