It's an overproof cane-juice white from the Dominican Republic with a Grand Arôme streak: overripe banana, fresh citrus, green apple and a glue-and-ester note humming in the background, with sugarcane and pepper on the palate. At 51.2% neat it's sharp, but people rave about the daiquiris it makes.

Tasted this overproof cane juice rum from Dom.Rep. during the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. The nose is intense, fresh, sweet, fruity and spicy with scents of sugarcane, citrus, apple, pepper and some glue. At the palate it’s balanced, vegetal, fruity, sweet and spicy with flavors of olive, exotic fruits, citrus, papaya, banana, sugarcane, pepper, cinnamon, clove, oily, ester and glue. The finish is medium long.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Super intense, delicious and strong Grand Arome Dom Rep high ester rum. Lots of glue, green apple, as well as overripe citrus fruits. Very aromatic and long-lasting. Definitely makes awesome daiquiris!! However, for me no comparison to the earlier tricorne. But at 27€ extremely fairly priced.

#5791 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a better release because it has little to no sugar in it. I would have loved a higher ABV, but that may be in the futur perhaps. A very nice fruity rum with nice sugarcane and a spicy palate with olive and vegetal notes. A light glue note is also in there.

Goûté au rhumfest Paris 2026. Goûté après le Jamaïca navy 4 ans . Retrouve un peu d éléments du précédent comme la colle fruité. Ici des notes d agrumes, un peu de sucre de la fraîcheur floral. Pas très emballé pour le déguster pur, mais plutôt en cocktail

Small CDI Core Range X-Tasting: for me the banana dominates here in nose and palate. Also quite fresh with citrus fruits and always a slight taste of sugarcane and spices. Ester and glue are perceptible in the background. Definitely not for drinking neat but surely exciting in a Banana Daiquiri.
