Roasted coffee grounds and a bit of toast lead, with dark chocolate and a light smokiness underneath — but the coffee-cask finish takes over fast. A few tasters expected the smokier old Boulet de Canon and didn't find it. Easy to drink at 46%, more novelty than classic rum.

Der neue boulet de Canon 15. Leicht rauchiger Rum trifft auf Kaffee Fass. Der Kaffee dominiert den Geschmack auch ziemlich, wenn auch der Rum echt lecker ist und sich easy trinken lässt. Aber hat für mich mit dem "Rauch" Konzept der alten Boulet Serie nichts mehr zu tun... Und Kaffee aroma bekomme ich auch unkomplizierter in meinen Rum ohne Kaffee Fass finish. 😉 Die Boulet de Canon Serie sollte meiner Meinung nach langsam ein Ende finden und man sollte sich lieber auf echten gut gemachten Rum konzentrieren ohne verrückte Experimente, wenn auch früher einige gelungene Sachen dabei gewesen sind.

Kaffee Rum in Reinform, sehr gut abgestimmt. Für Drinks wie Espresso Martini wahrscheinlich unschlagbar. Frühere Abfüllungen dieser Reihe spielten jedoch mehr mit dem Thema Rauch.
