7,8:On the nose, roasted wood notes like nuts, burnt sugar, caramel, leather, buttery, slightly resinous, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, dried fruits arise, spiciness with cinnamon. 7,6:On the palate, the attack is slightly sweet with roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, nuts, spicy with cinnamon, slightly resinous, as the fruits are dried with apricots, raisins, tropical with banana and citrus with orange peel. 7,5:The finish is medium long, dry, the wood is roasted with caramel, nuts, spicy, oaky, dried apricots stay with us all along. #6770 09.05.2026 Time for some samples after my half marathon walk today that I also managed to win. Listening to some Armin van Buuren and Vini Vici on Spotify. First of all thanks for the sample Claude, took a while to arrive :-) A rum below par when thinking abour what The Whisky Agency is normally capable of. A wood driven rum with nice leather, fruits, spices and some nutts. The palate is dry and warm.

RumX community meeting Eight October 2025. A reasonably good rum from the Dom Rep, who would have thought. Standard, but that’s enough. Woody, spicy and toasty, but really okay, no complaints.

Premier community meeting RumX à Acht. Un nez qui dépasse clairement le côté caramel/vanille des rhums de type espagnols. Un beau côté fruits rouges et des noix torréfiées. La bouche est très agréable, fruitée, boisée. Équilibrée aussi avec une légère amertume qui donne du punch à ce rhum. La finale est plutôt courte, comme on peut s’y attendre, avec un petit côté piquant.
