Nose: Tropical fruits, caramel, and vanilla. Given it a little air I detect subtle hints of pastry dough, toffee, and wood spice. Palate: Balanced and oily, ABV is well integrated. Oak and toasted nuts followed by dried fruits and some smoke. Finish: Finish is long. Creamy oak, smoked and sugar with some soft fruit notes.

I think most people are going to be attracted to this for the price and it’s a solid, not over-oaked FS. Good caramel flavours and a soft bourbon barrel. It’s got moderate complexity and good FS base. A great balance between distillate and spirit overall but I do wonder if it could have used more time in wood.
