A.F.D. Planteray Dominican Republic PX 2014
Dark chocolate, caramel and dried fruit lead here, with roasted wood and spice close behind. Despite the PX cask, several tasters note it reads less sweet than you'd expect — the spice and barrel do most of the talking. One member found the nose sweeter than the palate, which turns darker and nuttier. At 48.7% the alcohol pokes through a bit, with some heat and a slightly rough edge.
- Dark chocolate depth
- Dried fruit, cherry
- Well-matched PX cask

Review by Johannes
Das Sherry Finish dominiert schon sehr, aber passt gut zu dem Grundstoff. Insgesamt sehr stimmig.
Review by Vojta
Very smooth Dominican rum The nose appears to be sweeter than the palate. There is a lot of caramel as well as dried fruit, cherry and wood. The palate turns from the sweet side to the darker side. There is lots of dark chocolate, wood, tingling spice(I would say cinnamon) and something nutty. The fruit falls behind. The finish is medium to long. Again the dark side prevails. Lot of dark chocolate, coffee, spice and caramel. Alcohol is well integrated.
