One thing upfront, I just don't like these whisky finishes. It may not be as dominant and overpowering here as in other bottlings, but I still tasted it and I just don't like it.

8:On the nose, minty, flowery, fresh with tea, eucalyptus, sweet with honey molasses, roasted wood with nuts, caramel, spicy with allspice, tropical fruits, peaches, dried apricots, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the whisky barrel impact is stronger, citrus fruits arise, chemical hints, chocolate and pastry. 7,4:On the palate, the attack is rather thin, a bit alcoholic with minty molasses, flowery, roasted wood notes like dark chocolate, caramel, spicy with allspice, various fruits, among them some candied, tropical, green and citrus fruits, some peaches, dried apricots, cognac and whisky barrel finish is obvious.When the rum is well rested, hints of menthol arise. 7,1:The finish is medium long, with similar notes as on the palate, dry. #7161 14.08.2026 Relaxing with a few rums after a slow week at work and a lot of walking. Listening to some nice trance by Avalon, GMS, Funk Tribu and Vini Vici. Not all experiments work and this is one in my mind. Luckily the price tag is low. Light rum with wood, fruits, mint, floral, spice and whisky.

Doesn’t really suit my taste right now either. The T.D.L DNA only comes through lightly here. Mint is recognizable but not as dominant as usual. For me it’s rather woody and roasted, as well as slightly fruity.

👃 canned peach, dried apricot, dried fruits, light mint, then menthol, fine spices, very light woodiness, vanilla, light glue, light damp hay, honey of a young and reduced whisky. A fairly lively nose compared to the alcohol level and yet paradoxically quite watery. 😋 Not much to say, we find exactly the same markers as on the nose, with a rather thin, light intensity. There is this whisky imprint that seems to contradict the other flavors. ⛳ Surprisingly warm, lively, spicy, alcoholic, NAS whisky aspect, dry, chocolaty, Cognac vsop woodiness. 💡 Like many single cask planteray(ation), it's round, accessible, well made, but doesn't go further. ⚠️ You have to like whisky, this rum has many characteristics via the finish in French Armorik whisky cask (certainly a young whisky cask for blending).

Sweetness of caramel and yellow fruits (apricot and peach), strong spice notes and subtle freshness of mint on the finish. The wood is - considering the age - as expected restrained. The mix of fruits and spice notes gives the overall profile an interesting youthful impetuosity; all in all very accessible for the age, but too little complex for a higher rating.

Very successful aroma despite low ABV. Classic like a menthol-mint scent lightly tinged with whisky. Taste-wise it's not as successful. I dislike the bitter aftertaste. First minty, then something like bitter chocolate to unripe grapefruit. Really strange.
