After weeks, a good rum again that I taste. Not too sweet and fruity. The French style is and remains my favorite style. An Agricole perfectly suitable for beginners, too good as a base for cocktails.

Overall an tasty and smooth Agricole. It’s a selection of agricole rums aged in new 200 liters American oak casks for 12 to 24 months. HSE is made at the distillery Le Simon which is the same distillery that produces Clement and A1710. From the distillery it’s said: “This rum will delight both in a Ti-Punch as well as in cocktails.”, but I’ve tested it neat and thinks it works well that way.

Nothing special here to tell. It‘s a young soft, thin (diluted) agricole and more recommended to beginners. Anyway, you can taste out a lot of various notes. Easy daily rum with a short and unimpressive finish.

An HSE rather focused on indulgence. It's sweet, round, easy to drink. The Martinique woodiness is there. The sugarcane always present. Not the greatest representative of the AOC but not unpleasant.

Slightly woody (very young) & vanilla, dried fruits. Not very striking and no finish. Harmless but not very intense. 16€ on promotion in supermarkets, okay but nothing special.

Light color, pleasant nose with this hop, discreet but present whisky! Brown sugar also present and a latent indulgence. Powerful and expressive palate for this strength. Very interesting because different from the nose. The fruits emerge on the second sip, very interesting. Short finish, dry and strangely harsh on the vegetal.

Very indulgent, it's a very good rum for beginners or for lovers of the HSE distillery. With a good quality-price ratio, it remains very smooth.
