A new Yarmouth base esters, a priori. It's good, but light. Tropical fruits, apple. Lacks a few years in the tropics, very airy. Good at this price, we can't be too demanding...

#5845 11.10.2025 Visiting the Whisky Live Hamburg 2025 event. It was the first of its kind and went off pretty well. They still have to learn a lot about running an event like this. People were allowed to bring backpacks and even cabin bags to the event and that is a problem in my mind. This is an OK rum. Fruity with some spices and light esters. ABV should have been higher in my mind as it lacks a punch.

Für mich als New Yarmouth Junkie, mal wieder eine interessante Abfüllung aus dieser Distillery. Verglichen mit anderen jungen New Yarmouths schmeckt dieser doch ein wenig anders, was ich aber als gelungen empfinde. Für den Preis, kann man nur alles richtig machen.

Bei diesem Rum bekommt manndas, was man bezahlt. Einen grundsoliden NY allerdings ohne besonders nennenswerte Komplexität. Die Destille bleibt zu erkennen, aber ich würde doch lieber 40€ mehr ausgeben, dann macht es Spaß

On the nose: Pretty mild/light on the nose for a 62%abv rum. Esters, fruity and bananas. Taste: Quite strong at first with esters, woody, fruity, pineapples and quite spicy. Then sour cherry and citrus notes come in. Finish: Sour cherries first and then woody notes with mild pineapple notes. Finishes mildly bitter and dry. Quite good basic rum in its price range, but does lack of complecity.

Flensburg Rum Company Awakening Series - New Yarmouth An sich mag ich New Yarmouth, aber nicht diesen. Trotz mehr als zwei Stunden im m Glas ist die Nase sehr verhalten. Am Gaumen dafür zu alkoholisch.

"A weird note of old fruit, marshmallows and trester, quite unlike any new Yarmouth I ever had. Interesting, but unfortunately it misses some complexities to be an amazing experience. For the money very solid"
