Blend of Spanish and British style of the TDLs – on one hand heavy sweetness and fruits, on the other hand subtle notes of fresh mint and dark spices. In the overall profile, the individual aromas could be a bit more pronounced, and the structure could be more refined. Still, the spirit remains approachable and appealing, a good release.

#5854 11.10.2025 Visiting the Whisky Live Hamburg 2025 event. It was the first of its kind and went off pretty well. They still have to learn a lot about running an event like this. People were allowed to bring backpacks and even cabin bags to the event and that is a problem in my mind. A pretty decent TDL in my mind, but it could perhaps have improved from a higher ABV. I do know that they're trying to match a medium segment, but still only a limited release. Wood and ABV pretty good in balance. Fruits mix well with mint, floral and spice notes.

Eine weitere Abfüllung aus der stark limitierten Serie von FRC. Meines Erachtens sehr solide, aber etwas, was nicht unbedingt in Erinnerung bleibt. Braucht schon eine Weile im Glas, da er Anfangs alkoholisch ist.

17-10-2025 - Rate 8.4 29-12-2025 - Rate 8.1 A good rum. Not as good as COR Up Spirits #3. Same year and age but the COR has double amount of tropical aging. Nose of mind, wood, spice and fruits. Palate of mint, wood, dried fruits and tobacco. Long finish dominated by wood and spices.

This was quite thin on on the nose, but 20 minutes in the glass did help to open up this rum. On the nose: Still quite mild. Roasted, woody and leather notes are mixed with herbal/minty notes. Taste: Alcoholic at first. Woody, roasted notes with minty notes. Tobacco notes. Then you get some coffee notes with some vanilla. Finish: Woody, minty/herbal and smoky notes. Its decent, but too alcoholic and too thin/weak notes sets the score where it is right now. This rum lacks of complexity and richness of the notes.

Der bringt wirklich wenig mit. Sehr oberflächlich dünn und langweilig. Da gibt es sehr viel besseres in diesem Jahrgangs- und Preissegment. Dieser gehört auf jeden Fall zu den schwächsten Releases auf der Whisky Live in HH

Nez tres alcooleux d abord, puis vanille et quelques épices. La bouche confirme un rhum tres leger, aucune complexité, aucune profondeur. De loin, le moins bon 2009 que j ai goûté. Cela ne vaut pas du tout son prix.
