This 2009 T.D.L. from a pot still at 62.4% is a classic Trinidad profile several tasters call easygoing but a touch plain. Wood and spice run the long finish.

Flensburg Rum Company Awakening Series - Trinidad A very drinkable TDL, with the typical notes of mint, currant, eucalyptus and herbs. Very sweet, gentle, toasty, a good TDL for beginners.

#5854 11.10.2025 Visiting the Whisky Live Hamburg 2025 event. It was the first of its kind and went off pretty well. They still have to learn a lot about running an event like this. People were allowed to bring backpacks and even cabin bags to the event and that is a problem in my mind. A pretty decent TDL in my mind, but it could perhaps have improved from a higher ABV. I do know that they're trying to match a medium segment, but still only a limited release. Wood and ABV pretty good in balance. Fruits mix well with mint, floral and spice notes.

Blend of Spanish and British style of the TDLs – on one hand heavy sweetness and fruits, on the other hand subtle notes of fresh mint and dark spices. In the overall profile, the individual aromas could be a bit more pronounced, and the structure could be more refined. Still, the spirit remains approachable and appealing, a good release.

A 16-year-old TDL with a fair price-performance ratio. Nose: At first, the alcohol bites a bit. Once that settles, you find classic Trinidad aromas: fruit - here pear, green apple, lemon, and dried apricot -, mint, and a bit of caramel. It comes across slightly metallic. But towards the end, I don't find the alcohol well integrated. 7.2 Palate: also metallic and alcoholic at the start with lemon and bergamot. A bit of apricot comes through as well. Then it turns more spicy with a good amount of nutmeg. Towards the end, a hint of mint and black tea. Unfortunately, it's not quite on the refined side. 7.4

17-10-2025 - Rate 8.4 29-12-2025 - Rate 8.1 A good rum. Not as good as COR Up Spirits #3. Same year and age but the COR has double amount of tropical aging. Nose of mind, wood, spice and fruits. Palate of mint, wood, dried fruits and tobacco. Long finish dominated by wood and spices

Another release from the strongly limited series by FRC. In my opinion very solid, but something that doesn't necessarily stay in memory. Needs some time in the glass as it is initially alcoholic.

This was quite thin on on the nose, but 20 minutes in the glass did help to open up this rum. On the nose: Still quite mild. Roasted, woody and leather notes are mixed with herbal/minty notes. Taste: Alcoholic at first. Woody, roasted notes with minty notes. Tobacco notes. Then you get some coffee notes with some vanilla. Finish: Woody, minty/herbal and smoky notes. Its decent, but too alcoholic and too thin/weak notes sets the score where it is right now. This rum lacks of complexity and richness of the notes.

It really brings very little. Very superficially thin and boring. There is much better in this vintage and price segment. This one definitely belongs to the weakest releases at Whisky Live in Hamburg.

Very alcoholic nose at first, then vanilla and some spices. The palate confirms a very light rum, no complexity, no depth. By far the worst 2009 I've tasted. Not worth its price at all.
