Shop visit Rum Paradise Hamburg December 2025. Solid Planteray, Barbados is clearly recognizable as this rum comes across very fruity, coconut and banana are clearly noticeable. Otherwise, a bit of chocolate, nuts, and mint.

#6931 18.06.2026 Training is done and wife has been picked up. Time for some samples while watching Justice League on HBO. A decent rum when looking at the price tag. A mild profile with fruits, light caramel, spice, nutts, light roasted wood and some chocolate.

Very successful and not too sweet blend from Barbados and Trinidad. Roasted coconut and almond, some banana and chocolate, as well as coffee and discreet mint and apple. Very pleasant and mild to drink and very fair in price.

New impression in the black cask range. This time blending rums from Barbados & Trinidad. The rum is fairly sweet, fruity with a fair dose of bitterness & spicy elements in the blend, a little bit of dark chocolate, coffee, ginger and cinnamon. Finish is surprisingly long with cinnamon and chocolate on the forefront.

Advent Calendar for my brother 2025. The nose is quite weak but I really like the taste, it has nice combination of fruits and chocolate with hints of mint. Nothing comolex, easy and straightforward. Also great price for what it brings.

Good rum that doesn't do any harm. Coconut and vanilla are prominent and recognizable Barbados with a twist of Trinidad. Lovely for the price.

Stop at Planteray This year, no exclusive bottling at the booth, unlike previous editions. So I settled for two 2025 releases: Black Cask 2025 (Barbados & Trinidad) – 40% A blend way too sweet and a bit flat for passionate palates. But it remains soft, pleasant and accessible, with a fair price for those discovering rum. Navy Mister Fogg 2025 - 55.7% On this second batch, the artificial note that bothered me before has disappeared. This 2025 version is fruitier, slightly spicy, and much more balanced. A nice rum, affordable and easy to taste.

Successful continuation of the Black-Cask series. Like all so far, very pleasant rums that don’t overwhelm beginners. For the 28€ paid, a great value. Probably slightly sweetened and therefore not for advanced drinkers.
