Tropical fruit, dried plum and chocolate up front, then a big Armagnac-and-red-wine finish that's the whole talking point here. At 60.1% the alcohol sits surprisingly well, with banana, citrus, caramel and a touch of polished oak. Several tasters call it a "Spalter-Rum" — a love-it-or-hate-it bottle. The wine-heavy ending wins some over and loses others completely.

👃 = I've got pastry smells, ripe tropical fruit, prune, chocolate and a bit of woodiness. 👄 = past the lively attack, I have a little fat, some dried fruit and a gourmet warmth right through to the very slightly acidic finish with very well-integrated alcohol. POH! Spirits Adventure has succeeded in its alchemy between rum and barrel rendition to finish the meal with a very pleasant liquid dessert.

Ein Rum mit Höhen und Tiefen. Anfangs war ich begeistert: tropische und getrocknete Früchte, Holz, Schokolade und Ester. Dann aber kommt das Finish zu Tage, welches mal nach Armagnac, aber dann doch wieder nach Rotwein schmeckt, was leider gar nicht mein Fall als Rumfinish ist.

Glaube das dies wie schon gesagt worden ist, ein spalter Rum ist. Finde er hat schon was, aber irgendwie stört mich dann doch das Armagnac Finish, weil es je länger eh steht umso dominanter wird. Bin hin und her gerissen, ob er wirklich so gut oder schlecht ist.

Die Nase dieses Savanna war sehr vielversprechend…Ester, Kirsche und Konfekt.. Am Gaumen erscheinen zudem Kräuter , Piment und minimal Holz. Der Alkohol ist recht gut eingebunden und kommt erstaunlich leicht daher. Der Abgang ist relativ kurz

Très très gros kilff à moins de 70€, ce Savanna triple cask a tout d'un grand ! Ultra fruité, beau bois poli & fondu, un max d'agrumes, de banane, des relents d'armagnacs sombres sur les pruneaux et les dattes séchées, des esters.. superbe !

Puh, also hier schwanke ich zwischen geil oder richtig scheiße :rofl:. Das Armagnac Finish ist schon sehr dominant, ich lasse ihn mal was atmen Wird ein Spalter-Rum :slight_smile: Edit: Tendiere eher zu geil :-). Etwas scharfkantig aber doch, gefällt mir ganz gut.

In der Nase vermischen sich tropische Früchte und Aromen aus Wein und Armagnac Welt zu einem harmonischen ganzen. Spannend, einladend und angenehm. Am Gaumen sticht ist etwas mehr Rotwein zu spüren, aber auch Armagnac ist präsent. Schade das es dem Destillat nicht gänzlich gelingt hier dagegen zu halten. Wer aber etwas für Rotwein und Armagnac übrig ab wird diese Abfüllung auch mögen.

Ein Savanna von POH! Spirits. Konnte leider mit dem sehr dominanten Finish wenig anfangen. Erst Rotwein, dann Richtung Armagnac. Aber insgesamt war Rotwein noch dominanter. Hat mir leider gar nicht gefallen. Dazu noch Gewürze und etwas Holz.
