#5934 08.11.2025 Sample I got from Christian Rudt while attending the wedding of Tom Buteneers in Belgium. Nose Light wood, light roasted, faint smoke, light mint, faint chocolate, faint polish, light orange, fruity. Palate Oily, round, medium peppery, light caramel, light chocolate, dried fruit, faint citrus, naturally sweet, light orange. Finish Medium to long, naturally sweet, light wood, light chocolate, light caramel, orange, light nutts. Empty glass Light mint, light caramel, light chocolate, dried fruit, faint coffee. A very well balanced rum with a touch of spiciness to it. There is a small imbalance on the palate, but still an OK rum.

8,2:On the nose, roasted/toasted oak with chocolate, burnt sugar, smoky, soap and polish, slightly synthetic, minty molasses with tobacco, orange peel and dried fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses becomes thick, syrupy, tons of roasted tones arise like leather, roasted nuts, caramel, confectionery and fudge, spicy vanilla. 7,9:On the palate, the attack is oily, round, but slightly alcoholic with toasted wood, sweet, caramelized, burnt sugar, biscuits, leather, later cocoa, caramel, dark chocolate, some hints if cardboard, spicy with vanilla, fruity with dried and citrus fruits, as the molasses is vegetal with tobacco. 7,7:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, sweet and syrupy with caramelized toasted oak and smoky, roasted notes, metallic patina, dried and citrus fruits, as the molasses brings slightly flowery touch. Danke an Christian für das Sample: An der Nase dezente Note von Orange und Minze. Am Gaumen dann warm, rund, Alkohol ordentlich eingebunden. Dezente Süsse,leichte Orangennote und Gewürze. Insgesamt mir aber etwas eindimensional.

Genau dss richtige jetzt dieser Rumbaus Venezuela. Ist auf der eher süßlichen Seite, Vanille, Karamell und Schokolade lassen sich erkennen. Ist aber auch leicht holzig und röstig. Ein toller Sipper wie ich finde.

Typischer Südamerikaner, mit starkem Holzeinfluss, Karamell und getrockneten Früchten. In der Nase zudem Politur im Gaumen Gewürze und etwas pfeffriges. Alkoholeinbindung passt. Definitiv kein Highlight, aber in nem Old Fashioned sicher gut

Venezuela 15y, ungewöhnlich viel Holz und Tannine. Der Alkohol ist nicht perfekt integriert, es wirkt nach primär kontinentaler Reifung und es fehlt deutlich an Komplexität. Aromatisch treffen Orange, Backgewürz, junges holz, eher künstliche Aromen und Ahornsirup aufeinander. Nicht zu süß eher holzig und würzig. Wenn man es Holziger mag kommt man hier auf seine Kosten.

Tja, hab genau das bekommen was ich erwartet habe. Typischer Vertreter des spanischen Stils, nichts überragendes, aber auch nichts Schlechtes. Alkohol finde ich für 55% angenehm. Kann man trinken, muss man aber nicht.

Meine Erfahrungen mit dem spanischen Rumstil sind halbwegs überschaubar. Diese Abfüllung weiß mir ob ihrer Einfachheit zu gefallen. Kein Rum den ich viel trinken würde weil es eben nicht mein bevorzugter Stil ist. Ich hätte mir hier noch ein schönes Finish gewünscht, das hätte dem Rum noch ein gewisse Extra geben können.

Verkostet auf der Village'26 bei Nina am Jack-Crap Stand. Eine Abfüllung, die durchaus zu gefallen weiß. Für den eher von mir nicht gerade bevorzugten spanischen Stils denoch eine positive Abfüllung. Man bekommt das, was man erwartet.

Ich bin ehrlich: Bei Venezuela erwarte ich erstmal nicht so viel. Wenn Nina Jack-Crap es in die Hand nimmt, bin ich aber per se erstmal interessiert. Fair produziert, sehr detailliert und offene Kommunikation über den Inhalt, das gefällt schon mal. Der Stoff an sich: eher mittelmäßig. Ein klassisch spanischer Stil ohne besondere Einschläge, dazu doch rec ht deutlicher Alkohol trotz der 15 Jahre. Definitiv kein Kracher zum Einstieg, aber immerhin ein Einstieg. Ich freue mich auf alles, was noch von Jack-Crap Spirits kommt!

In der Nase zeigen sich leichtes Holz, dezente Röstaromen, etwas Rauch, ein Hauch von Minze, Schokolade und fruchtige Orangenoten. Am Gaumen ölig und rund mit etwas Pfeffer, Karamell, Fruchtig und etwas Orange. Der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden, insgesamt sehr süffig und ideal zum entspannten Sippen für den frühen Abend. Alles in allem bekommt man genau das was drauf steht. Einen Rum im spanischen Stil.

Toller Rum von Nina, der Alkohol ist sehr schön eingebunden. In der Nase ein Hauch von Karamell und Orangenschale welcher sich weiterzieht an den Gaumen. Schön rund am Gaumen und der Abgang sehr mild und angenehm.
