#7094 28.07.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after training on my bike. Listening to some nice new trance tracks on Spotify. Very good Hampden with an OK price tag in my mind. Intense and fruity profile with spice, olive, varnish, coffee, medicinal and mint.

Somewhat subjective review, I had the chance to preview these releases for La Famille Ricci alongside Morgan in Brussels. Is it really an H? Yes, but a more indulgent and tamed version of the alcohol fire (slight reduction). It's confusing on the nose, definitely Hampden, but more indulgent, with notes of gingerbread and cereals. On the palate, mango, pineapple, burnt sugar, but also quite a bit of nuts (without being excessive, phew, nuts aren't really my thing). Buttery finish, almost pastry-like, and not so fruity anymore. Maybe a medium+ length, without being endless, let's try to find some flaws (not easy). Really intriguing this H, and unique.

🔥 Hampden H 2014 – 60.9% Right from the nose, no doubt: this is definitely Hampden. An elegant, expressive profile, blending olive, wood, citrus, and very ripe tropical fruits. On the palate, the alcohol is perfectly integrated. It’s complex, explosive, with notes of solvent, oak, then a rise in sweetness: caramelized banana and pineapple. A velvety texture, very precise. The length is very nice, though a little extra madness could have pushed it even further. 👉 For me, the best Hampden post-2010 I’ve tasted so far. I clearly need to find a bottle...
