8,2:On the nose, sugarcane hints, fresh, grassy, flowery, minty, sweet toasted wood notes like caramel, cinnamon, nuts, syrupy, fruits like mandarine, orange, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, yellow fruits arise, molasses is waxy, coffee, chocolate and pastry join, vanilla. 8:On the palate, the attack is sweet with maple, brown sugar, syrupy, oily with toasted wood notes like chocolate, pastry, coffee, roasted nuts, smoky, spicy with baking spices, vanilla, red pepper hints, slightly creamy, a bit thin, fruity with citrus fruits like orange, mandarine, bitter, fresh with sugarcane hints, earthy, grassy, flowery, slightly metallic. 7,9:The finish is medium long, sweet, oily with toasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate, coffee, nuts, peppery, fruity with citrus fruits, grassy..

Goûté en sample 2 fois. C est un rhum qui ressemble un peu à un ron légèrement arrangé. Il y a une grosse empreinte laissée par le fût pour les notes d orange, et café torréfié par les grains de café. C est un rhum facile et recréatif.

Tasted at the Vagabond stand Village'26. I was able to try the predecessor with the orange liqueur note already last year at GRF. Now this stuff was put again into a barrel smoked with coffee beans. If the drinking strength was a bit higher, I probably would have bought it.

Exciting further development from Mauritius with orange liqueur finish, the coffee perfectly complements it and blends harmoniously. Slightly smoky, spicy, more complex. A bit like a dry orange tiramisu with cold brew and cognac. As a rum barely recognizable anymore, but impressive that the high effort in the end worked with so many steps and finishes!

#6337 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. This is a pretty surprising rum. Normally I dont like when they add stuff, but this is done in a more delicate way. The coffee beans have been roasted under the caskk thus adding only a bit of the coffee to the final produce. Nice and fruity with a light coffee touch and good ABV integrations.

Nice relaxed spiced rum without sugar or artificial flavors. The coffee aroma was added via smoke of "burnt coffee beans." Warm, spicy mouthfeel. A glass that fits well at the coffee table with pastries. I can well imagine it as an easy sipper for the Christmas season.

Probably so far the best „flavored“ product out there. The coffee smoke process and cask clearly influenced the rum heavily, yet it is very round and enjoyable.
