8,8:On the nose, sugarcane, fresh, flowery, minty, mineral, earthy, herbaceous, vegetal, fruits with dried apricots, peaches, citrus with orange, roasted wood notes like chocolate, caramel, spicy vanilla, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the cane is sweet, fermented, violet and geranium are obvious, burnt sugar, nuts and nutmeg join, allspice and red fruits come out. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is fresh(tea) with minty, flowery sugarcane, herbaceous, vegetal, earthy with tobacco, mineral, the wood is smoky, tannic, nutty, spicy with vanilla, allspice, toasted with pastry, biscuits, fruity with red wine barrel impact and red fruits, grapes, then citrus, peaches and coconut hints, slightly astringent. 8,6:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with grassy, vegetal sugar cane, fresh with tea, the wood is toasted with caramel, confectionery, nuts, smoky, spicy with vanilla, cinammon, warm and fruity with yellow, red and citrus fruits..

Verkostet gegen den Dame Jeanne #3 (RX26228) und ich kann nicht sagen, dass mir #4 besser schmeckt. #3 wirkt trotz des geringeren ABV schon an der Nase kräftiger und würziger, während #4 geschmeidiger, aber auch flacher und weniger fruchtig, sogar holziger erscheint. Fazit: Die beiden Schwestern sind schon unterschiedlich, aber ich kann nicht sagen, welche mir (heute) besser gefällt.

#7000 05.07.2026 Time to relax after my wifes birthday guests have left. Listening nto some nice EDM on Spotify at the same time. A very nice rum in my mind with an OK price tag. Swee rum with pastries, fruits, caramel, chocolate, nutts and roasted wood.

I was really hesitating to try the fourth lady Jeanne, but was positively surprised because, in my opinion, she stands out from the previous bottlings through a complex interplay of herbs, tea, and tobacco. You definitely have to give this bottling some time in the glass for this result. Every 10 minutes, you're rewarded anew with different aromas.

Ein eleganter Agricole mit ordentlicher Fassschmelze. Holz, Gewürze, Tabak, Röstaromen, florale Aromen wie Tee und Zuckerrohr, aber auch Nuss und Zitrusfrüchte. Im Mund intensiv und der Nase treu. Insgesamt fehlt mir etwas dad abrundende Element, weil dann doch stark bitter-holzig.

I like these old juice rums more and more. The aroma has tea, spices, tobacco, and wood. The taste is a very delicate mix of flavors that only aged agricole rums can offer. It's a very, very pleasant drink.

Heute ein kleines Agricole Cross-Tasting: Fangen wir mit dem J.M Dame Jeanne No. 4 an. Was mir im Vergleich zu den vorigen Dame Jeanne gut gefällt ist, dass No. 4 kraftvoller daherkommt. Die Vorgänger schmeckten irgendwie dünn. Die Nase gefällt mir auch sehr gut. Am Gaumen und im Abgang ist er mir aber wieder zu holzig.
