West Indies Planteray Barbados (Apricot) 2018
A few tasters found the apricot cask "very present" here — enough that the classic Barbados backbone of oak, vanilla, coconut and crisp allspice fades behind it. You still get dried apricot, brown sugar and tropical fruit, but the finish leans sweet and liqueur-like. One reviewer felt the whole Planteray sample set came off watery yet still boozy, with a slightly artificial sweetness.

Apricot-cask Barbados, sweet and fruit-forward Divisive. The apricot cask brings pleasant dried-fruit sweetness, but several felt it drowns the real Barbados character and reads a touch artificial and watered-down.
