Tasted at the Whisky Fair 2026 No-nonsense Guyana that sometimes feels a bit thin due to the relatively low alcohol content. 5-10% more ABV would definitely have helped to get a higher rating.

Dieser Guyana Rum ist ein leckerer leichter frühlingshafter easy Sipper. Viel Karamell, einige Schoko-kaffee Noten und ganz besonders viele Kräuter-Honigbonbons. Der Abgang ist kurz. Erinnert mich entfernt an den 1997(?) V&M Uitvlugt, der allerdings wesentlich voller ubd komplexer daherkommt.

This Guyana rum is quite okay, I had hoped for something better. It's definitely very roasted, dark chocolate and caramel are recognizable here, but also a slight sweetness is noticeable, as well as solvent on the nose.

#6006 29.11.2025 Rum tasting at Whisky Watcher in Odense. Surprisingly good rum actually. Allt he notes are there but just very subtle. The longe it stays in the glass the more it opens up and the plum and pencil shqvings are released.

Typical Diamond profile with lots of licorice and molasses. Personally, too much licorice for me. But overall a good rum. For the low alcohol content, it doesn't feel too thin either.
