Welcome to Mauritius! A rare rum that seems to be found only at the Labourdonnais rum distillery. Gentlemen 9 or 12 yes, but 14 seems to be a rarity. So I’m going in blind with no influence from a test. I discover a gourmand and well-balanced rum! A rum that calls for dessert. Gourmand and pastry-like, round and sweet. Its finish is short but its nose and palate are pleasant and easy to access. You find the markers of aging in whisky casks. In short, a pleasant discovery.
