The Whisky Agency Very Fine Old Caribbean Rum 1964
Crème brûlée, roasted nuts, raisins and old caramel — this 60-year Cuban leans dry and spiced rather than fruity, with leather, dark chocolate and a whiff of smoke. It can be a bit tight and astringent on opening; give it time in the glass and, as one taster put it, it turns into a "caramel factory." The alcohol sits well integrated for the age.

#6008 29.11.2025 Rum tasting at Whisky Watcher in Odense. This is a very good rum and better than the previous 60 year release. Nice and complex with fruit and caramel and nice roasted notes. The longer it stays in the glass the more caramel comes out until after an hour it is basically a caramel factory in the glass.

Review by Chrischi78

Spannende wechselnde Aroma Nuancen. Nicht sehr komplex aber gut. Mittellanger Abgang.
