The Whisky Jury The Duo (Chapter 4) - LP & HD 1998
Esters, glue and fresh florals up front, with banana and orange peel underneath — a Long Pond/Hampden blend that splits the room. Most tasters recognize both markers, but the young Hampden keeps elbowing past the older Long Pond, and the alcohol sits hot and a bit raw. One member called it neither "fish nor fowl." Give it 30 minutes of air to settle.
- Esters galore
- Both markers show
- Banana and citrus

How does The Whisky Jury The Duo (Chapter 4) - LP & HD 1998 taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Hot, young-tasting Hampden/Long Pond blend A decent Jamaican blend that reads younger than its age suggests — recognizable LP and HD markers, but several found the alcohol poorly integrated, the finish short and a touch bitter. Many said one sample was enough.

#6115 23.12.2025 Relaxing at Whisky Watcher in Odense. This is a pretty good blend and I am pretty sure that it will get even better after a few drams have been removed from the bottle and then left to mature in the bottle. Will get back to it after the holidays and see if it has gotten even better than it already is. After a while there is a faint flowery touch to the nose.

Schon ganz gut trinkbar.

#1704 18-12-2025 - Rate 8.3 It’s exciting to try these blends of two different rums. Hampden and Long Pond. I usually enjoy them both when they are separate. This is a nice blend. Nose of fruit, ester, glue and wood. Palate of ester, wood, oak and a floral taste at the end. Medium finish dominated by fruit and wood aging with a floral taste at the end. 31-12-2025 - Rate 7.9
