What surprises most tasters is the mint — a cool, herbal, tea-like streak that runs through the whole glass, not what you'd expect from a 22-year-old Trinidad. Underneath sit peaches, mango and cherry, roasted wood, leather and a touch of chocolate at the back. At 56% the alcohol stays well integrated, the sweetness only hinted, and it finishes long and dry with a faint medicinal edge.

9:On the nose, minty molasses, fresh, roasted wood notes like chocolate, caramel, leather, smoky, slightly burnt, spicy, peaches and mango, citrus fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, mandarine and pineapple arise, medicinal touch with rubber, tar hints, vanilla and confectionery, oily, herbaceous, floral molasses. 8,9:On the palate, the attack is fresh with minty molasses, tea, herbaceous, slightly bitter, fruity with peaches, tropical, citrus fruits, fermented, dairy hints, oily, woody with roasted, sweet notes like caramel, chocolate, pastry, nuts, leather, spicy with allspice, vanilla, slightly salty. 8,9:The finish is long, dry&tannic, fresh with minty molasses, tea, medicinal, fruity with mango, peaches, as the oak is roasted, sweet with confectionery, chocolate, nuts, spicy with allspice, warm, smoky. #7132 06.08.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a nice and relaxing day at work and some speedhiking on the way home because it started raining. Listening to Daily Mix 02 on Spotify. Very nice TDL with a good price tag at release in my mind. Smooth profile with fruits, mint, roasted wood, chocolate and a dry touch to the palate.

An outstanding TDL with extreme mint, herbs and leather. On the palate the peach is still hidden but comes fully into play on the palate and finish. The very subtle sweetness fits very well into the overall picture.

Well, I can always write the same about this one, just like with Hampden. It’s definitely a very solid T.D.L. Of course mostly mint is recognizable here, but a few herbs also come through.

A delicious, warm TDL that is full of flavor. Tea, mint, mango, peaches, chocolate, and vanilla particularly come to the fore. Not a sharp TDL, but softer on the palate. With a lovely, long finish..

Let go to Trinidad for my 350th review. On the nose: Mint, woody notes, roasted notes, leather, fruity notes like berries, light citrus, and light peaches quite nicely blended together. Taste: Minty, herbal and tea notes with oily mouthfeel. Woody notes. Leather notes. Then you get fruity notes like peaches and cherries. Fruity turn little bit to sour side and then you start to get light chocolate notes at the end. The abv is integrated very well. Finish: Minty notes and tea notes. Woody notes. Little bit of peaches in there. Light medicinal note here and there. Finishes dry. This was a very good T.D.L with a very good integration alcohol and typical Trinidad rum, but they were blended together very nicely.
