#7048 15.07.2026 Finally back home after a busy day and picking up a loaner because my car is in the shop for repairs. Listening to some nice Trance on Spotify. Pretty good rum when looking at the initial price tag. Well rounded profile with natural sweetness, spice, wood, chocolate, sugarcane and fruits.

Neisson is the smallest distillery on Martinique, making under 2 percent of the island's rum, and one of only two still in family hands. Run today by Claudine Vernant Neisson and her son Gregory, it distils on a 1952 all-copper Savalle still, ferments with its own native yeast, and makes what many call the island's finest white rhum. The community rates its aged bottlings among the very best agricole there is.
