Right from the smell, you immediately get full-bodied dark tropical fruits and a sweetness you can smell. In the taste, a bit of wood comes through but not strongly, a light sweetness, vanilla, and chocolate, the alcohol is excellently integrated. The finish is also nicely long. In the empty glass, I still smell a bit of honey and wood. Very nice cask strength quality.

Abgesehen von einer essigartigen Note an der Nase direkt nach dem Eingießen ins Glas, die aber schnell verfliegt, ist dieser Rum ein typischer Foursquare. Und über die Typik von Foursquare wurde schon alles geschrieben. Insofern lässt sich von meiner Seite nur hinzufügen: Ein süffiger Rum, mundet dem Bauerngaumen!

Sowohl in der Nase als auch im Gaumen leicht sprittig. Leichte Süsse kommt gut durch aber mir fehlt hier einfach die Harmonie. Vanille, Kokos, Eiche bekommt man sicher raus. Hab ihn aufgrund der Bewertungen probiert obwohl ich kein Barbados Fan bin. Trotzdem habt mir z.B. der Indelible besser gefallen.

#6314 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. Surprisingly good Foursquare that is a bit atypical and has some nice edges to it. Overall balance is very good and ABV is perfectly integrated.

Sample von der HanseSpirit‘26. Der schöne Jahrgang 2006. die üblichen Foursquares sind mir meist zu austauschbar, der hier macht vieles besser. Nase: fruchtig-floral und würzig-holzig zugleich. Intensiv und konzentriert. Zu Beginn süß und leicht sauer, getrocknete Johannisbeeren und reife Stachelbeeren, leicht Richtung Banane und Ananas gehend und natürlich Kokosnuss. Cremig mit Vanille und Sahnetoffee, würzig mit einem Hauch schwarzem Pfeffer und altem Eichenfass. Ganz fein zu finden ist eine leichte Kürbis-Note. 8,6 Gaumen: intensive Geschmackskurve, salzig-saurer-fruchtiger Antritt mit Zitrusfrüchten, vielleicht Mandarine und Zitronenschale, vielleicht auch etwas Maracuja, aber auch mit dunklen, getrockneten Früchten. Und umgehend mit einem speckigen Beiton. Dieser löst das Salzige ab. Jetzt kommt das Holz mit Vanille durch sowie die Kokosnuss und süß-speckige Tonkabohne. Hinten heraus leicht kräuterig. Die Kurve gefällt mir. 8,6

Tasted again calmly. I still think it's a true coconut bomb. Nothing else is expected from a Foursquare. Very smooth. Unfortunately, for me, it lacks that certain kick. The last Foursquare from RumClub with its "edges" pleased me better. The alcohol is well integrated. Coconut bomb.

Typisch Barbados 2006. Flüssiger Bananensplit mit Schlagsahne und viel Dattelmuß (die großen medjoul Datteln!) und Karamell. Sehr gut integrierter Alkohol und wirklich süffig! Insgesamt süßer als gewohnt für den 2006er Jahrgang, steht ihm aber gut!! Könnte fast schon ein Velier Foursquare sein.

Smagning d. 19.07.2026 Rum Club Depot smagning 6,0 Arrangeret af Mr. Kevin Sørensen. RX 25758 Foursquare blend. Duft: Nødder og karamel, lidt svag eddike til at begynde med. Let sødlig fadpræg, lidt brun sukker, opløsningsmidler. Palette: Let bittersød, tør stikkende mund fornemmelse. Tørret frugt dadel let rosin. Eftersmag af kokos let vanilje og lidt alkohol påvirkning. Lidt bitter chokolade og fad. Krydret let kanel og grøn peber. Fornemmer ikke rigtig noget frugt, lidt ubalanceret ABV. Ubehageligt affedtning i halsen, fornemmer noget ned vanding. Glasset: Egefad. Smagning “In the bed”

Ein wirklich guter und komplexer FSQ, bei dem man neben den typischen Markern besonders Kokosnuss und Banane herausschmeckt. Leider Stelle ich sowohl in Nase als auch im Gaumen eine alkoholische Note fest, die das Gesamturteil leider schmälert

#1791 06-06-2026 - Rate 8.7 Rumclub Private Selection tasting Sønderborg Fourth rum is this fantastic Barbados Foursquare 2006. No aging in additional casks. Just 19 years of bourbon maturation. What a rum. I like Foursquare with double or triple cask maturation, but full bourbon is not that bad eather

Ein typischer Foursquare mit viel Ex-Bourbon-Einfluss, Karamell, trockne gelbe und tropische Früchte, Piment, am Gaumen auch sehr klar und ansprechend Kokosnuss. Das Alter zeigt sich in herben Fassnoten, die von dunkler Schokolade bis zu einem dezenten Kaffeearoma reichen. Leider ist der Alkohol selbst nach einer knappen Stunde Belüftung noch immer sehr markant und präsentiert sich auch am Gaumen recht schnittig. Das kostet bei mir ein paar Punkte, ändert aber nichts an der sehr guten Einstufung.

Smagning på "Basecamp" D. 17.07.2026 Samples fra Rum Depot. 👌 Næsen på eventyr👃: Fornemmer jeg ved første dyk alkohol, eddike, karamel, fint træ og let sødme. Tungen på eventyr 🥃 : første indtryk er en voldsom alkohol, men efter tid i glasset åbner den sig. Der er kokus, vanilje, mørk chokolade og en form for rister. Halen på historien💫 : Den rom her skal efter min mening have lov at stå lidt i glasset, så åbner den sig for alvor! Den er eksplosiv og lækker med et tydeligt fad præg.

Auf der Village '26 probiert und einer Flasche für zuhause mitgenommen. Klassisches FSQ Profil, cremig am Gaumen und insgesamt sehr rund. Im Geschmack dominieren dunkle Früchte und Kokosnuss. 87 Punkte von mir und definitiv eine tolle Abfüllung!

Ich bin irgendwie verwirrt. Erster Eindruck: sehr lecker. Aber irgendwie fast ausschließlich Kokosnuss Alkohol sehr gut integriert. Für noch bessere Bewertungen fehlt mir etwas Komplexität und Tiefe. Aber mir fallen direkt ne ganze Menge Leute ein die ihn lieben werden.

Eigentlich braucht man bei Foursquare keine großen Worte verlieren, da die Qualität fast immer sehr hoch ist. Einzig die Ausreißer nach oben sind relativ selten zu finden, da sich die Abfüllungen doch meist sehr ähnlich sind. Dieses 2006er Fass ist in meinen Augen jedoch besonders gut gelungen, da es sich neben der typischen Brennereistilistik durch eine besonders hohe tropische Fruchtigkeit mit leichten Esteransätzen auszeichnet. Außerdem ist er sofort nach dem Einschenken einladend und braucht keinen langen Luftkontakt, damit sich die Klebstoffnote in komplexe Aromen abbaut. Dazu noch ein sehr cremiges Mundgefühl und ein langer schokoladiger Abgang, köstlich!

Coole Farbe. Die Nase echt lecker, weich, süss aromatisch. Am Gaumen dann mehr Power wie man es erwartet. Der Gesamteindruck - klassischer Foursquare, schön zu trinken und macht beim dritten Schluck sogar mehr Spass als beim ersten. Gefällt mir mit der Zeit im Glas ausgesprochen gut.

Die 61te Abfüllung von Rumclub gefällt mir sehr gut, schon beim Geruch hat man sofort vollmundig dunkle tropische Früchte und eine Süße die man rausriecht. Beim Geschmack kommt noch etwas Holz hinzu aber nicht stark , eine leichte Süße, Vanille und Schokolade, der Alkohol ist hervorragend eingebunden. Der Abgang ist auch schön lang. Im leeren Glas rieche ich noch etwas Honig und holz heraus. Kann diese Abfüllung sehr empfehlen :)

Ein schöner Foursquare. Ziemlich rund und fruchtig, der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Keine Überraschungen, aber ein sehr schöner Vertreter, der für meinen Geschmack qualitativ noch etwas aus der sonst schon hohen Qualität heraussticht. Gefällt mir gut.
