Coconut leads here — several tasters call it a "Kokosnuss bombe," backed by banana, vanilla, dark chocolate and creamy toffee over old oak. It's a classic Foursquare 2006, 19 years in ex-bourbon, rounder and a touch sweeter than usual. Creamy and full, though at 59.5% a few find the alcohol a bit sharp and the coconut a bit one-note.

Apart from a vinegar-like note on the nose right after pouring into the glass, which quickly fades, this rum is a typical Foursquare. And everything has already been written about Foursquare’s typicality. So from my side, I can only add: A drinkable rum, pleasing to the peasant’s palate!

Slightly alcoholic both on the nose and palate. Light sweetness comes through well but I just miss harmony here. Vanilla, coconut, oak can definitely be detected. I tried it because of the reviews even though I'm not a Barbados fan. Still, for example, I liked the Indelible better.

Right from the smell, you immediately get full-bodied dark tropical fruits and a sweetness you can smell. In the taste, a bit of wood comes through but not strongly, a light sweetness, vanilla, and chocolate, the alcohol is excellently integrated. The finish is also nicely long. In the empty glass, I still smell a bit of honey and wood. Very nice cask strength quality.

#6314 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. Surprisingly good Foursquare that is a bit atypical and has some nice edges to it. Overall balance is very good and ABV is perfectly integrated.

Sample from HanseSpirit '26. The beautiful 2006 vintage. The usual Foursquare rums are mostly too interchangeable for me, but this one does many things better. Nose: fruity-floral and spicy-woody at the same time. Intense and concentrated. At first sweet and slightly sour, dried currants and ripe gooseberries, leaning slightly towards banana and pineapple and of course coconut. Creamy with vanilla and cream toffee, spicy with a hint of black pepper and old oak barrel. A slight pumpkin note can be found very finely. 8.6 Palate: intense flavor curve, salty-sour-fruity start with citrus fruits, maybe mandarin and lemon peel, maybe also some passion fruit, but also with dark, dried fruits. And immediately with a bacon-like tone. This replaces the salty. Now the wood with vanilla comes through as well as coconut and sweet-bacon tonka bean. Slightly herbal towards the end. I like the curve. 8.6

Typical Barbados 2006. Liquid banana split with whipped cream and lots of date paste (the big medjoul dates!) and caramel. Very well integrated alcohol and really easy to drink! Overall sweeter than usual for the 2006 vintage, but suits it well!! Could almost be a Velier Foursquare.

Tasted again calmly. I still think it's a true coconut bomb. Nothing else is expected from a Foursquare. Very smooth. Unfortunately, for me, it lacks that certain kick. The last Foursquare from RumClub with its "edges" pleased me better. The alcohol is well integrated. Coconut bomb.

A really good and complex FSQ, where besides the typical markers you especially taste coconut and banana. Unfortunately, I detect an alcoholic note both on the nose and palate, which unfortunately diminishes the overall judgment.

Smagning d. 19.07.2026 Rum Club Depot smagning 6,0 Arrangeret af Mr. Kevin Sørensen. RX 25758 Foursquare blend. Duft: Nødder og karamel, lidt svag eddike til at begynde med. Let sødlig fadpræg, lidt brun sukker, opløsningsmidler. Palette: Let bittersød, tør stikkende mund fornemmelse. Tørret frugt dadel let rosin. Eftersmag af kokos let vanilje og lidt alkohol påvirkning. Lidt bitter chokolade og fad. Krydret let kanel og grøn peber. Fornemmer ikke rigtig noget frugt, lidt ubalanceret ABV. Ubehageligt affedtning i halsen, fornemmer noget ned vanding. Glasset: Egefad. Smagning “In the bed”

Actually, you don't need many words about Foursquare since the quality is almost always very high. Only the top outliers are relatively rare because the bottlings are usually very similar. However, this 2006 cask is particularly successful in my eyes, as it stands out besides the typical distillery style through a particularly high tropical fruitiness with slight ester hints. Also, it's inviting immediately after pouring and doesn't need long air contact for the glue note to break down into complex aromas. Plus a very creamy mouthfeel and a long chocolate finish, delicious!

#1791 06-06-2026 - Rate 8.7 Rumclub Private Selection tasting Sønderborg Fourth rum is this fantastic Barbados Foursquare 2006. No aging in additional casks. Just 19 years of bourbon maturation. What a rum. I like Foursquare with double or triple cask maturation, but full bourbon is not that bad eather

A typical Foursquare with a lot of ex-bourbon influence, caramel, dry yellow and tropical fruits, pepper, on the palate also very clear and appealing coconut. The age shows in bitter barrel notes ranging from dark chocolate to a subtle coffee aroma. Unfortunately, even after just under an hour of ventilation, the alcohol is still very prominent and also quite sharp on the palate. That costs a few points for me, but doesn't change the very good rating.

Tasting at "Basecamp" on 17.07.2026 Samples from Rum Depot. 👌 Nose on an adventure👃: At first sniff I sense alcohol, vinegar, caramel, fine wood, and light sweetness. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: first impression is a strong alcohol, but after some time in the glass it opens up. There is coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate, and a kind of roast. The tail of the story💫: In my opinion, this rum should be allowed to stand a bit in the glass, then it really opens up! It is explosive and delicious with a clear cask influence.

I’m somehow confused. First impression: very tasty. But somehow almost exclusively coconut. Alcohol very well integrated. For even better ratings, I miss some complexity and depth. But I can immediately think of a whole bunch of people who will love it.

Tried at the Village '26 and took a bottle home. Classic FSQ profile, creamy on the palate and overall very round. Dark fruits and coconut dominate the taste. 87 points from me and definitely a great bottling!

Es steht Foursquare drauf, es ist auch Foursquare drin. Sehr gute Abfüllung, aber es fehlt für eine höhere Bewertung an Intensität, Komplexität bzw. Tiefe und vielleicht auch das besondere Etwas. Es ist, wie gesagt, aber ein netter Sipper.

Die 61te Abfüllung von Rumclub gefällt mir sehr gut, schon beim Geruch hat man sofort vollmundig dunkle tropische Früchte und eine Süße die man rausriecht. Beim Geschmack kommt noch etwas Holz hinzu aber nicht stark , eine leichte Süße, Vanille und Schokolade, der Alkohol ist hervorragend eingebunden. Der Abgang ist auch schön lang. Im leeren Glas rieche ich noch etwas Honig und holz heraus. Kann diese Abfüllung sehr empfehlen :)

Cool color. The nose really delicious, soft, sweet aromatic. On the palate then more power as expected. The overall impression - classic Foursquare, nice to drink and even more fun on the third sip than the first. I like it very much with time in the glass.

Honestly? Compared to the usual Foursquare releases, I find it a bit spritzy. For my taste, it has a bit too much alcoholic sharpness. Otherwise, very nice nose with the known Bajan notes. On the palate also the light coconut-vanilla sweetness. But for comparison, I would prefer a Mandamus or Convocation.
