Even self-described ITP skeptics keep changing their minds on this one. Glue and nail polish lead the nose, then tropical fruit, mint, caramel and roasted oak fill in behind. The palate runs heavy — banana, citrus, black tea, tons of wood — with the 18 years and the high proof mostly well tied together. A serious, funky Long Pond.

28.02.2026 Retasting at the "Nordlichter Treffen 2026". ----------- #6413 31.01.2026 Meeting up at the Nobilis Warehouse for yet another amazing Warehouse Tasting. This bottling was made from the leftover part of an older cask and the result is pretty amazing. This could be considered a raw cask because there are minute traces of wood in the bottle and glass.

Ja den hab ich mir dann auch noch reingeballert :( War jedenfalls ein heftigst übler Long Pond ja ein wenig Karamell und Süße, aber das hat hier nichts zu bedeuten. Auf jeden Fall ein sehr leckerer Rum. 😘😘😘🙃

8,8:On the nose, glue, nail polish, roasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate, pastry, nuts, spicy cinnamon, minty molasses, fruits like banana, citrus, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the rum is round, berries, dried apricots are out, metallic patina, some rubber, molasses is flowery, grassy with hay, burnt sugar, allspice and ginger join. 8,6:On the palate, the attack is quite intense with glue, briny molasses, herbaceous, dark with black tea, sweet with honey, fruits like banana, citrus and tons of roasted wood notes like candied caramel, pastry, roasted nuts, gingerbread, spicy with vanilla, slightly tannic, medicinal with menthol, when the rum is well oxidized and a bit dirty. 8,7:The finish is long, dry&tannic, medicinal with rubber and glue, slightly furry with roasted oak notes, nutty, smoky, spicy, fermented tropical fruits, berries and citrus, molasses is grassy with hay, earthy with tobacco..

Smagning 08.07.2026 RX 25867 Long Pond Nobilis. Gave fra Mr. Kevin Sørensen. Duft: Svag Long Pond funk bag dominerende egefad. Karamel, peber og tobak. Palette: Ristet nødder og egefad, peber og tørrede mørke bær. Lim og gummi afsluttes med tung dyb menthol. Long Pond i den tunge ende. Glasset: Svag sødme efterfulgt af egefad. Smagning “In the Cave”

Eine sehr gute 2007er Abfüllung…habe ich so nicht erwartet..die Frucht-/Holz- und Würzaromen sindsehr ausgeglichen und ergänzen sich perfekt. Der Abgang ist mittellang mit etwas mehr Holz und Würze. Die Alkoholstärke ist passend und gut eingebunden

#1722 31-01-2026 - Rate 9.0 Nobilis Warehouse Tasting #4 We are back at Nobilis to another warehouse tasting. A new edition of their 17 years Long Pond. One year extra in the barrel. I like this edition more then the original. Nose of wood, mint, tropical fruit and glue. Palate of wood, tropical fruits, glue, caramel and citrus. Long finish dominated by wood, glue and tropical fruits. 20-03-2026 - Rate 9.0

Very nice and well-balanced Long Pond with lots of fruit, mint, glue, and wood that really complement each other well. I'm generally not an ITP fan, but this one is really good. Alcohol is very well integrated.

Well, first overall impression is very good, nice numbers, bottler etc. Than let‘s try it. Buh, here the alcohol is very bad integrated and leaves already on the tong a furry and astringend felling. I will try it later with some drops of water

Sehr guter ITP Long Pond. Intensive Noten von gebackener karamellisierter Banane, Kokoschips, Milchschokolade, roten Beeren, etwas Minze und Bitterorange mit Zimt und Lebkuchen Gewürzen. Alkohol ist überraschend gut integriert!

On the nose, somewhat similar to a TDL. I'm actually not a fan of ITP, but this is probably the best ITP I've tried so far. Great rum with a nice mouthfeel. The only downside is the comparatively high price.

Sehr leckerer Rum. (Dank an Nobilis, Claus) Unbedingt atmen lassen. Fruchtig frische Komponenten und Körper entwickeln sich. Habe den I. Special Edition IP 15 (RX 10803), den II. Elisabeth Yard (RX 14247) und den III. RumClub 59 (RX 25437) im Vergleich. Nase nur leicht alkoholisch, ABV von 67 ! gut eingebunden. Süß. Fruchtig. Zunge würzig, mild. Abgang scharfes Crescendo mit mittellanger mildem Nachklang. Rumclub etwas milder und kräftigerer Körper, aber schlägt die anderen beiden um Längen!!
