#6323 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. A really nice rum with well balanced wood and ABV. Powerful and medium dry with some light medicinal notes, dried fruits and faint smoke.

Ja endlich mal ein super Rum. Toller Nase, auf jeden Fall Nougat und Karamel, aber auch Kokosnuss und etwas Holz. Am Gaumen dann sehr röstig, es gibt hier einen dunklen Rum mit viel Kakao, etwas Kokosnuss und Holz aber auch noch.

Von Nase bis Abgang starke Ähnlichkeit zu FSQs. Sehr holzig/ röstig, viele Gewürze und Karamell. Die im Hintergrund vorhandenen Trockenfrüchte und Banane sind mir persönlich etwas zu schwach. Alkohol gut eingebunden wenn man dem Rum ausreichend Zeit zum atmen gibt

Vorab danke AntiSEBtisch für die vorab Lieferung der Flaschen für den Split. Nachdem ich diesen kurz auf der Village'26 probiert habe, hab ich mir nochmal die Zeit genommen, diese in Ruhe daheim zu probieren. Nicht schlecht, aber der erste hat mir einen kleinen Ticker besser gefallen.

John Dore/Coffey still blend bourbon Cask without finish. Alcohol well integrated, the John Dore still is more in the background here and is dominated by the Coffey still. Aromatically, you could guess Barbados West Indies or Foursquare with these intense caramel, banana, coconut, and chocolate pudding notes. Unusual but delicious!

War sehr gespannt auf den zweiten vom WDC Veröffentlichten Chairmans aus St.Lucia. Man merkt hier sofort das hier in Vergleich zur ersten Abfüllung ein gänzlich anderes Profil vorliegt. Eine hoffentlich folgende dritte Abfüllung wird das sicher so fortsetzen. Aufgabe erfüllt würde ich da sagen. Bei dieser Abfüllung zeigen sich besonders Vanille, Schokolade ( hell in der Nase dunkel in Geschmack) Kokosnuss sowie Karamell und würzige Aromen. Hinten raus mit deutlich holzigeren Profil. Eine gute Abfüllung die meinen Geschmack leider nicht ganz trifft.

Messebewertung Nürnberg The Village 2026: Wieder eine sehr gelungene Abfüllung vo Wu Dram Clan. Sehr holzig, für meinen persönlichen Geschmack gerade an der Grenze, gleichzeitig auch sehr süß. Sehr überraschend finde ich die starken Kokos-Noten, die Nase hat mich zuerst an einen Foursquare denken lassen.

Etwas Lackton anfangs, wie man es von Foursquare kennt. Dann kommt das Bourbonfass und fruchtige Noten. Vanille gesellt sich dazu, gelbes Steinobst auch. Sehr entspannt beim riechen, was mir gut gefällt. Klar definiert, saubere Struktur. Wie immer, gebt ihm Zeit im Glas! Am Gaumen sehr schön präsent, entwickelt eine leichte Süße, die den Abgang richtig pusht
