28.02.2026 Retasting at the "Nordlichter Treffen 2026". ------------ #6331 31.01.2025 Warehouse Tasting at Nobilis. This is a really nice and well balanced rum. Not as elegant as their previous 20 year old, but different in the regard that is has some nice edges to it. Nice and fruity with nice mint notes and ABV and wood are well balanced. There is a nice peach note in the profile. The price tag is pretty OK in my mind and I bought two bottles.

Palate of dried fruit and dates, oak, pepper and leather. I’m glad I saved some in my sample for a second tasting! The first one at the end of a lineup didn’t really win me over because I found it too closed off. The rest of the sample speaks to me much more. I find some TDL profiles in the fruity/woody notes. There’s freshness, peach, and a light caramel. The price makes sense for a 70 cl bottle. It’s nice to discover a 2010 vintage.

Alcohol very biting... Nose rather restrained with some mint, peach, and apricots... On the palate, there's more... peach, apricot, mint, caramel... Alcohol is also very biting here and not well integrated, maybe it just stayed too short in the glass.

👃 Dans un premier temps, le combo classique de pêche et de menthe. La menthe est poivrée, épicée, j'ai du cuir manufacturé, du bois sec. Puis, comme d'autres 2010, j'ai des fruits secs, un peu de liqueur d'abricot, du caramel et des noisettes torréfiées. Notes bienvenue de fleurs de tiaré après beaucoup d'aération. Alcool assez présent qui évolue vers des notes pétrolifères. Un nez relativement frais, fruité et caramélisé. 😋 Pouah! Beaucoup d'alcool à la première gorgée, ainsi que la deuxième. Il lui faut pas mal de temps pour être moins vif et chaud. Après la brûlure de l'alcool, on retrouve la menthe poivrée, pimentée, des fruits du vergers (pêche) et secs. Jolie combinaison gourmande de caramel, chocolat, noix et agrumes. Les fruits tropicaux semblent absents de ce sample, tant au nez qu'en bouche. Dommage que l'ABV soit si perceptible. ⛳ Longue, chaude, piquante, un peu d'acidité (baies rouges et noires), pas mal de tanins du fût de chêne. Toujours un peu de menthe, poivre, pêche et caramel cuit. 📝 Un bon TDL du millésime 2010, qui balance entre l'association "classique" de menthe et de pêche ainsi que sur un versant plus gourmand, entre caramel, noix grillées, fruits secs. Le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas bon par rapport à d'autres IB.

Ein wirklich guter TDL 2010. Aprikose, Pfirsich und Minze ohne Ende. Alkohol ist wirklich gut integriert. Leider gibt's auch eine leichte Benzin Note die ein bisschen drüber hängt aromatisch. Nichtsdestotrotz ein guter TDL!

Nach einem harten Arbeitstag ein besonderer Tropfen! Nase Uhu und scharf. Etwas stehen lassen. Wird milder, aber nur inkrementell. Süßlich kommt ein bisschen durch. Weiter stehen lasen. Alkohol ist nicht gut eingebunden. Das nächste Mal mit Wasser verdünnen. PS: durch Zufall 🤦♀️ein paar Stunden gestanden. Alkohol verflogen und insgesamt ,5 Punkte besser in Sehr gut gerutscht. Vielleicht nach Oxidation im Verlauf noch besser, hoffentlich verflacht er nicht zu schnell.

Nice, rounded TDL 2010 with fairly well-integrated alcohol. Benefits from some time in the glass. A good rum, but in my opinion too expensive for the quality offered.
