Nine years in a Heaven Hill barrel leaves it dry, with vanilla, caramel and a wood note that several members call borderline heavy. The palate leans fruity — apple and yellow fruit — and one taster picked up menthol. Good, if not quite polished.

#6317 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. I wonder about the Vintage of this rum as Ten Cane ceased to exist in 20`15, but this is still a pretty decent rum. It coule probably have been made a bit cheaper by not adding an expensive wooden box around it. This was the official event release. A fruity and naturally sweet rum with a little bite to it.

Nachtrag von der Village'26. Einen 2015er Ten Cane hatte ich noch nie im Glas, muss wohl eines der letzten Fässer gewesen sein, die abgefüllt wurden. Hätte man diese übertriebene Holzkisten Verpackung weg gelassen, wäre er vermutlich billiger gewesen.

Kann mich auch nicht abholen, liegt aber vielleicht auch an dem torfigem Dingen von eben. Holz, Vanille und Karamellbhat die Nase zu bieten. Am Gaumen finde ich ihn dann eher fruchtig und süß. Apfel ist erkennbar.

This is the first "2015" Ten Cane bottled. The finish in a Heaven Hill Whisky Barrel works really good and gave this rum a nice "dry" feeling with nuts, vanilla, tobacco and chocolate.
