Surprisingly mild Ten Cane where the wood, sweetness, and fruits harmonize well. Primarily you can taste citrus fruits, wood, and caramel, alongside spices and candied fruits. The nose still reveals a hint of something vegetal.

#6317 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. I wonder about the Vintage of this rum as Ten Cane ceased to exist in 20`15, but this is still a pretty decent rum. It coule probably have been made a bit cheaper by not adding an expensive wooden box around it. This was the official event release. A fruity and naturally sweet rum with a little bite to it.

Can't really get into it either, but maybe that's because of the peaty stuff from before. Offers wood, vanilla, and caramel on the nose. On the palate, I find it rather fruity and sweet. Apple is noticeable.

Addendum from Village'26. I'd never had a 2015 Ten Cane in the glass before, must have been one of the last barrels bottled. If they had left out the exaggerated wooden box packaging, it probably would have been cheaper.

This is the first "2015" Ten Cane bottled. The finish in a Heaven Hill Whisky Barrel works really good and gave this rum a nice "dry" feeling with nuts, vanilla, tobacco and chocolate.

Somehow the whole thing feels a bit off. I still find the nose the best part. Nice fruitiness with apple and yellow fruits as well as nice bourbon notes. On the palate and in the finish, everything is present again but for me the woodiness is somehow borderline. The alcohol is also not perfectly integrated for me.

Solid Ten Cane. More caramel, vanilla and wood notes rather than fruit. On the palate a bit more fruit, reminiscent of apple.
