Sipped neat, this 22-year Barbancourt is rounder than most cane-juice rums this age — loads of yellow stone fruit, mirabelle jam, vanilla and caramel, with a buttery biscuit note running through. The oak stays light and there's a faint grassy, agricole edge. At 59% the alcohol is present but rarely gets in the way. Dries out toward the finish as the fruit lingers.

#6325 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. Also a very nice bottling with a bit more Agricole to the nose and palate. Good balance between wood and ABV and nice grassy notes.

Tried at Village'26 at Fabi's booth. I find Honeybatcher simply a secret tip that flies under many people's radar. The rum itself is really super smooth. I wouldn't have expected that from Haiti. Keep it up, Fabi.

Really delicious, unusually round and fruity, sweet Barbancourt! Buttery biscuit, mirabelle jam, vanilla and caramel, slightly woody and lots of yellow stone fruit. Great stuff that Fabi picked here!

Day trip Düsseldorf October 2026. Tasted at the Spirit Bomb shop. Many thanks to Fabi for putting up with me again and for the drams :-) Great Haitian rum, vanilla and spice really stand out here. Nice cask.

Tested against the first release from Rum Artesanal. Clearly more fruit and overall just tastier for me. Great fruit and buttery notes. Overall, however, it is not necessarily my profile. The alcohol is just somehow poorly integrated for me.

Surprisingly fruity, yellow fruits, some brioche, alcohol is present but not unpleasant, it gets drier towards the end, fruit remains, vanilla joins in.
