#6338 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. This one is not really my cup of coffee or shoudl I say salt water. Light fruit is there and a lot of salt and faint spice. Too salty for me.

And on we go watching the Tour de France. Hopefully a more exciting stage today than yesterday, regarding the favorites. I somehow don't like this one so much. Lots of dalzlake and a bit of herbs are recognizable.

Very unusual experiment with 2 Agricole style rums from Cape Verde & Guadeloupe Longueteau. Aged underwater for 11 months, so quite salty and fruity grassy. Basically a well-made piece but also very edgy and niche.

Village 2026 Tasting this for the first time is a weird and interesting experience! Very salty and umami in the arrival, and then it evolves to some licorice flavours. I like it for being absolutely unique, and it deserves some points for this.

Oh damn, I just got it with a huge wave of salt! It's not like a hint of salt like in some clairins, here it's literal salt, most people will hate it but it's unique, and juste for that it deserves to be tried.

08/03/2026: Brussels Rhum Festival @ Tour & Taxis. Tasting this for the first time is a weird and interesting experience! Very salty and umami in the arrival, and then it evolves to some licorice flavours. I like it for being absolutely unique, and it deserves some points for this.
