Hanse Spirit 2026: The ABV is little to not noticeable, which is unusual. Then it tastes quite sweet. All in all an exciting Jamaica experiment with a special result.

The legendary under-the-table rum, of which there weren't many bottles. It's supposed to have 70%, but I wouldn't sign off on that. The bottling is everything and nothing. But above all very sweet, almost artificial. Didn't convince me at all.

What's going on here? I didn't expect that at 70%. Very smooth, creamy and sherry-heavy. Extremely sweet. Reminds me a lot of the musty cellar bottlings of Michel Couvreur or the Elsburn whiskies. Weird stuff. Definitely too sweet for me.

Tastes like a mishmash, probably aged in a sherry cask, as you clearly feel that typical sweetness from nose to finish. You can guess the Jamaican origin, but the individual components are hard to define.

Mmh... on the nose strawberry yogurt and old sherry, a little bit of ester. Very unripe and no real style to be found. On the palate very very sweet!! I also don't believe the 70%... Not really my thing.

Hard to define. Blend with old components, but this sweetness is very suspicious. Also, this thing doesn't have 70%. So a lot doesn't add up with the given information. But it has a nice old woodiness. An interesting rarity in any case.
