We had a nice Agricole evening yesterday and the lineup was really good. I'll start with the last one first. A grand Agricole from the top shelf. Really well balanced with light fruit and age shown in the elegant wood on the profile. Light caramel and licorice in the back of the profile. Not a cheap bottle but definitely a good one and I will go hunting for one if u can find it at a good price.

Alcohol is well integrated. Nice Reimo, but it's a bit too floral for me, like perfumed, also quite thin. Not my favorite.

🥃 ReimonenQ Cuvée Quintessence 2001 – 42% Vintage 2001, bottled for the distillery's centenary. 👃 Impressive nose: spices, stewed fruits, licorice, almost opulent richness 👄 Mouth all in contrast: sweetness + power + remarkable complexity 🍯 Beautiful fruity sweetness and very pleasant length A very great rum... although, personally, the mouth of the Longueteau XO spoke to me more in this tasting.
