New French oak dominates — heavy wood, cinnamon, a near-bitter edge — with grass, hay and apricot underneath and sugarcane returning once you add water. At 60.8% the alcohol is remarkably well integrated for something this young, and the body turns creamy. Intense, a touch raw, but genuinely interesting.

Very woody for its young age, almost bitter. This is probably due to the aging in new French oak barrels. Also very spicy. The alcohol is very well integrated, with a nice creamy texture in the mouth. Insanely intense for its young age. I would have preferred if the rum had been aged only in a bourbon barrel and had spent a bit more time there. The quality is top-notch, you can already sense that if the rum gets more time to mature, we have unicorn potential here.

Nase: zuerst zurückhaltend, blumig, Parfüm, Heu Dann kommen auch Früchte und Trockenfrüchte dazu, vor allem Aprikosen Gaumen: hier dominieren Fass und Würze, die anderen Noten der Nase sind aber auch präsent, Alkohol gut eingebunden Sehr würziger, leicht bitterer, intensiver Nachklang Sehr guter Agricole, sehr ausgewogen, nicht zu bitter, gefällt mir trotz dessen, dass Agricole Rum meist nicht meine erste Wahl sind

Sehr fasslastig und würzig, was ihm aber gut steht und zusätzliche Tiefe verleiht. Der Alkohol ist hervorragend eingebunden. Mit Wasser kommt wieder etwas mehr Zuckerrohr hinzu und die Aromen wechseln sich ab. Spannend!
