Puh, das ist ein Brett. Ein HGML wie man ihn sich wünscht. Brachial kommt er daher und wirkt dabei wesentlich älter als er ist. Überreife Banane in der Nase, schön ölig am Gaumen. Die 65% schieben gut nach vorne, ohne aber zu stark zu sein. Tolle Komplexität für das junge Alter. High Ester und Hampden - das ist eine Liebesbeziehung. Wenn ich jetzt noch den Preis in die Bewertung einbeziehe bin ich bei 90+ Punkten. Bestimmt auch im Mai Tai ne Granate. Wieder mal tolle Fassauswahl von TWJ.

Au nez, hampden est present, les fruits tropicaux, les esters, du solvant, du bois, mais avec une impression d un rhum "posé" et pas agressif du tout, avec la presence d un joli coté patissier. La bouche le confirme, l alcool est tres bien integré, le rhum fait plus vieux que son age. Un bel equilibre, avec une bouche chaude et legerement huileuse. Une belle et longue finale sur le fruit et le bois. La notation tient compte du superbe rapport qualité prix. Des hampden comme ca a 69 euros, c est juste magique !

Fantastische Hampden, net als Ester 5, helemaal voor de releaseprijs. Ik denk een tikkie minder petroleum en iets meer hout (in positieve zin, verre van storend). Intens, fruitig, lange afdronk, alcohol zeer goed geïntegreerd en blijft toch krachtig. Zo jong en zoveel smaak, ongelofelijk. Spot on Hampden.
