#7241 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. A very good rum with an even better price tag in my mind. My quick notes while tasteing. Fresh, fruits, sugarcane, spice, sweeet, m, olasses, mint, floral, peppery, dry, light caramel.

Egal, der Hahn muss laufen morgens, mittags abends er muss laufen. Ne das ist keiner meiner Lieblingsrums, leider. Ist zwar leicht würzig, holzig und pfefferig, aber gefällt mir grad leider nicht so wirklich.

There are definitely similarities to the Bonne Mère 1. Very fruity with peach, young wood, and vegetal aromas on the nose. But with this Bonne Mère, the palate is dominated by the peach-mint aroma that is actually typical for TDL.

Vagabond Spirits gives us a nice surprise with this rum from Guadeloupe. The nose is very fragrant, with refreshing floral notes, sweet aromas of sugarcane, gentle spices (vanilla), and young but well-integrated wood in the profile. However, it’s the peach notes that make the difference (and steal the show) on the nose. A young and invigorating profile. The melody continues on the palate with this lush thread of peach and menthol. The fruits and sugarcane bring something sweet to the mouth, while the spices and light wood add elegance and roundness. The flavors are very balanced and harmonious, with perfectly integrated alcohol. The finish is long, a bit drier, vegetal, spicy (pepper), woody, and slightly roasted, but still partly retains the menthol and peach. The port cask finishing notes stand out a bit more. A very good surprise with a great value for money, top-notch for Guadeloupe which often suffers from very high prices on its releases.

So wie man das erste mal den Korken der Flasche öffnet riecht man schon deutliche Pfirsich und minze. Im Glas dagegen wird er sehr Agricole betont, grasig frisch mit fruchtige note. Im Mund fehlt mir diese versprochene Pfirsich explosion sehr schade, ganz am anfang ist Pfirsich zu schmecken und auch sehr deutlich aber dann kommt viel Pfeffer ,grausige Noten und am ende die minze. Der abgang ist dann sehr minzig und frisch. lasst ihn ne zeit lang stehen dann wird er noch fruchtiger.

Wine aroma with notes of spices, iodine and sour currants sweet red fruits. 👅. In taste wine sour fruit spices wood, iodine slightly warms up after aeration disappears.

Probiert am German Rum Fest 2026 bei den netten Leuten von Vagabond. Leider ist diese Art von Rum nicht unbedingt mein Lieblingsprofil. Aber wenn ich es objektiv sehe muss ich sagen, dass er eigentlich ganz gut ist. Für mehr reicht es aber leider bei mir nicht.

I have to come back on my review of the batch 1, I think I became addicted to this new hyper fruity profile from DBM. And oh boy What a fruit explosion 💥 Apricot , Peach, alcohol does not burn, I'm in love again ☺️ And for the price 🤪 Best bang for the bucks of 2026

Sehr interessanter Rum. In der Nase viel Pfirsich(Eistee) mit Minze und Ananas. Am Gaumen ist er erfrischend, die Minze noch dominanter mit einem Hauch von Birne. Erinnert mich in gewisser Weise an einen TDL. Kein Komplexitätsmonster aber zum entspannten Trinken sehr zu empfehlen.

Nose to mouth, too much on the sweet wine for my taste. Given the sticky mouthfeel, there must have been a good residue in the barrel (or the finish was way too long). I much prefer batch 1 and regret my purchase of this one.
