This Savanna is a really good, easy-drinking bottling. The ABV is well chosen, making it easy to enjoy. The aroma spectrum includes classic strawberry, sweet tropical fruits, as well as wood and spices – everything is there. Top! I'll have it again at Masterclass 2026.. and it only confirms my Tastingnites: super easy-drinking bottling

The nose is marked by strawberry yogurt, red apple, and caramel. It's quite pleasant but that's about it. The entry on the palate is again strawberry, with milky notes. The finish brings the freshness of menthol. Some spices, notably anise, close the show. The big disappointment remains the length on the palate, nonexistent. What a shame.

On aeration, molasses us grassy, sweet with honey, waxy, yellow fruits, mango, passion fruit join, candies, fermented notes like yoghurt, rubber us burnt. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is medicinal with light esters, varnish, menthol, fruity with strawberry, tropical, later yellow and citrus fruits, fermented, creamy with dairy notes, molasses is vegetal with briny olive, oily, fresh, sweet with honey, as oak is toasted with marshmallows, caramel, roasted nuts, pastry, cookie dough and biscuits, spicy with allspice 8,7:The finish is long, dry&tannic, balanced, medicinal, chemical, oak is toasted with pastry, nuts, biscuits, spicy with allspice, smoky, fruity with overripe tropical, red and citrus fruits, berries, currants, fermented with dairy notes, as molasses is vegetal with briny olive, dark with black tea, floral. I was really looking forward to tasting this rum. Tried it in a sample twice. I really liked it. Very complex, well balanced. The esters, woodiness, fruitiness, olive, and dairy notes blend together. In this range, the best release considering the value for money.

A very pleasant Savanna that already reminds you of fruit snacks on the nose – strawberry, yogurt, and a bit of sweetness from nose to finish; on the palate also olive and a slightly salty note in the finish. A great easy sipper.

Doesn't completely win me over. Strawberry is noticeable here too, but not as awesome as in RX20991. It really leans towards strawberry yogurt, but the esters and especially the varnish are too dominant for me here.

#6981 01.07.2026 Training done and wife picked up from work, time for some samples. Listening to some new Trance tracks on Spotify at full blast. A very nice rum with a good price tag in my mind. Intense profile with lots of fruits, nutts, ester, caramel, roasted wood and some salt.

#1798 04-07-2026 - Rate 9.0 The best of the 4 Art of Rum bottelings. The Herr profils is what makes this rum so exciting. I really like the Herr finish mixed with the rhum traditional part of the blend. And it’s finished off with some Grand Aróme 😊 16-07-2026 - Rate 8.9

A tame GA in my opinion. The strawberry-yogurt note is there but subtle. Also feels quite thin on the palate. Not as full and explosive as the high-end bottlings. But definitely good.

Online Savanna Masterclass as part of WLP 2026 For me personally, the discovery of the Masterclass! I found the REPY rather mediocre and therefore had no big expectations for this release of the Art series - but was very positively surprised! The alcohol is wonderfully integrated and brings a lot of fun and punch, the rum feels very smooth and mature. Notes of strawberry with woody cask influences and spicy-fresh aromas. Great HERR finish as Grand Arome.

08/03/2026: Brussels Rhum Festival @ Tour & Taxis. A decent, enjoyable Savanna but nothing too crazy. The nose had a hint of the strawberry notes that I always look for in Savanna. It's nice to try it, but I don't need a full bottle. I prefer something more extreme like the Herrline releases.

For a Savanna, it's on the distinctly sweet side with artificial strawberry and dried fruits. The alcohol could be better integrated. Not insanely complex, rather easy sipping. Personally, it's too sweet for me, but basically a well-made rum.

Savanna Masterclass Tasting September 2026 (unfortunately caught up alone): Yes, after RX26650, RX10507, and RX26649, the Art of Rum by Xandro is a Savanna that fits well into my preferred profile. In previous tastings, strawberry yogurt was often mentioned, and that was also my first association.

Here is a very successful Savanna, the best in my opinion from the Art of Rhum range. I salivate as I validate my tasting notes and at the idea of diving back into it. A very successful blend between a GA 2006, a traditional 2015 ex-cognac and a traditional 2020 ex-muscatel. A favorite.

Tasting at the RumX Savanna Masterclass on 25.09.2026 So this is what strawberry yogurt tastes like... that's something tasty, but the alcoholic sharpness bothers me a bit. Maybe you have to let it sit, but there was no time for that 😀 the strawberry lifts it to another level though

I never thought a rum could taste so much like strawberry and chewing gum. In fact, it's the same chemical compounds that make both flavored chewing gums and this rum taste like strawberries and sweet fruits. For my personal taste, it's a bit too artificial. The brilliant idea came to me tonight. Right in the middle of the best strawberry season, you can make a nice strawberry daiquiri with it. Works quite well, but the fruity chewing gum flavor still comes through. Retasted today and rated 0.5 higher. With a bit more oxygen, the artificial notes settle and the mild fruity character clearly dominates.

Savanna Masterclass tasting. Rest of the samples tasted calmly afterwards. Golden color. On the nose, a fruity aroma. Rather restrained compared to others in the series. Almost feels like an elegant Cognac/Armagnac. On the palate, then clearly stronger fruity aromas. Actually has this strawberry yogurt aroma. Drinks very nicely and the medium-long finish ends with a fruity-sweet impression. Definitely has its fans.

Online RumX Savanna Tasting from 25.09.2026 Blend of Traditional and HEER, co-created by the artist. The stuff is about 6 years old. Fruity and intense on the nose and palate, with notes of strawberry yogurt, vanilla, and mango coming through.

A really nice Savanna blend. If you know and like Le Must, this one takes it up a notch and you also get to know the HERR character, which here plays a comparatively restrained role. Alcohol is wonderfully integrated, but with 57% it's no longer an easy sipper, as it demands attention. First tasted at the distillery (05/26), own bottle opened in (08/26).

Tastes far too artificial, the strawberry completely takes over. You can barely even tell it’s rum you’re drinking — it feels like a sickly‑sweet strawberry liqueur mixed with Hubba Bubba gum.

Really pleasant surprise. Yogurt with strawberries, with a woody finish of traditional components. For me, a clear favorite among the Art Of Rum series releases so far. Nice finish, you can feel the strength, but definitely not the alcohol burn.

This is my first Savanna and I'm positively surprised. On the nose, it's slightly fruity, strawberry, yogurt, fresh, very light and thin. But then comes power on the palate, very intense, delicious, explosion of fruits, wood, strawberry, yogurt, nice oily consistency, alcohol well integrated. The finish is long and fruity. Really nice rum, I'm impressed.

Very sweet on the nose, with a hint of strawberry and light woody notes. On the palate, the strawberries come out much stronger than on the nose, along with a fine woody note and a pronounced menthol note that stays present until the end. Overall, I like the complexity and balance.

An interesting rum that goes from strawberry yoghurt to an olive and minty profile. A lot is happening here. The sweetness contrasts nicely with dryness. At the same time I am not sure this is fully the profile that I am looking for in a rum. This deserves some retasting on a later day.
