Experienced funk hunters are the only crowd this cask-strength Mexican high-ester is really built for. Pineapple, glue and rubber lead the nose, with a fruit-brandy character several members compare to apple or pear schnapps rather than rum. At 71.7% it hits hard but "brennt nicht" — surprisingly well integrated. Cleanly distilled, so it lacks the dirty Jamaican edge some hoped for.

You can definitely notice the 71.7% ABV clearly in the mouth. Still very tasty with lots of funky notes of banana and glue in the nose and on the palate. Absolutely not for beginners or intermediates; this is more for experienced rum lovers. I would definitely recommend it.

Uhh ... I first tried it neat and then diluted with water. It's definitely a strong spirit, but somehow mild on the finish. Flavor-wise in its current state, it's a no-go. I lack the imagination or experience to see what this rum could become. I'll try some "rum mixing" and add a sweet sherry note here and there. If none of that helps, I'll have to think of something else.

Alkohol erstaunlich gut eingebunden. Blind hätte ich ihn nicht als Rum erkannt. Schmeckt für mich wie ein guter milder Birnen- oder Apfelbrand.

Man, oh man, this thing is a beast 🤣 This rum is definitely not for beginners!!! What good Nico and that glass pack is a fruit ester bomb like no other! You have to move it around in your mouth in the smallest sips for a long time – fruit explosion 🎇🎇🎇 AWESOME ❤️

Der erste High Ester Rum aus Nicolas Versuchslabor. 71,7% Alkohol mit Zitrusfrüchten und Ananas Noten. Dieser Rum ist ziemlich sauber destilliert. Es fehlen mir die räudigen Jamaica Style Noten. Trotzdem ein gut gelungenes Experiment.

Super heftiges Brett, welches einen beim ersten Schluck aus den Socken haut. Ultra viel Geschmack auf kleinster Menge. Super Basis für das was noch kommen mag. Bin gespannt wie es in ein paar Jahren gereift schmeckt.

starke, aber spezielle Ester-Nase mit Obstbrand und überreifen Früchten, Ananas, wenig medizinisch. Im Geschmack zuerst Obstbrand, dann Früchte, sehr gut eingebundene Ester, aber geschmacklich eher flach. Mit Wasser mehr Ester in der Nase, am Gaumen weniger Ananas und mehr Obstbrand. Obstlerfreunde kommen hier auf den Geschmack
