Cane Rum Bottling Company Foursquare Aged in old Caroni Cask 2014
People are genuinely split on this one. It's a Foursquare that took a turn in old Caroni casks, and most tasters agree the Foursquare wins out: coconut, vanilla, caramel and chocolate up front, with only faint tar and rubber hinting at the Caroni. A few caught light mint. At 60% the heat shows, and several found it a touch sharp and unrounded for the distillery.
- Coconut and caramel
- Chocolatey nose
- Interesting blind tasting

How does Cane Rum Bottling Company Foursquare Aged in old Caroni Cask 2014 taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Foursquare in Caroni casks, divisive experiment A fascinating experiment more than a knockout. The Caroni cask shows mostly as faint tar and rubber; opinions split between "well-integrated and round" and too hot, thin and short on the finish.

Alkohol gut eingebunden

Interesting experiment - especially blind. However, I feel the Caroni cask has pushed the Foursquare somewhat away from its sweet spot.

Review by TraderCookie
Light nose, comprising of mostly wood with a hint of fruit, roasted nuts and caramel, might be tobacco and leather waaaaay back. Taste is Foursquare through and through, very subtle sweetness with more wood, hints of spices and burnt sugar. Mouthfeel is quite dry and leaves no stickiness Aftertaste is short, it does not stick around.
