Tasted at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. Not a fan of Hispanic rums, but as often, some well-selected cask strength releases stand out and this one is among them. No extravagance or huge complexity, it's dominated by woody, caramelized, and vanilla notes, but it remains interesting and pleasant.

Dégusté au rhumfest 2026. Les rhums du Salvador ne font pas partie de mes destinations connues , c est même la première fois que j en bois.le boisé ressort bien , une base caramélisée, un peu d épices et du torréfié, un léger côté cerise amer.Finalement pas inintéressant , le compte d âge et les degrés lui apporte suffisamment de profondeur et complexité.

This was a tasty rum but not necessarily my cup of tea. It is a good example of the Spanish style. There is a thick caramel nose. The first part of the sip is the best with caramel, vanilla and some wood. It loses in the finish which does not take it anywhere, apart from being hot.
