Tasted at Rhum Fest 2026. Detailed notes to come. 👃 😋 ⛳ A finish that reminds me of a certain Skeldon bottled by El Dorado from the Rare Collection range. Lots of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, charred barrel, black olives, and salty hot tar. 🏅 To be compared with other great representatives of NY 94; Rum Artesanal, Swell de Spirits, the bottle shop, Distilia...

The New Yarmouth 94 is the weakest and unfortunately also the most expensive release. How can you bottle a rum that was meant for blends, at that price? The joke is bad. Blind, it could be confused with a very average Belize. Coconut, vanilla, and... nothing more... at that price, it's at best a bad joke!

Tasted at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. Another high-flying New Yarmouth 1994. This one clearly deserves a lot more time. Tasted early, I have a great memory of a tamed rum without losing its complexity. Fruits, wood, discreet solvents. Then tobacco notes on the palate. The wood is in the background, without bitterness. Superb.

03/10/2026: tasted @ Salon du Rhum 2026. First time tasting something from Ferrer and not a great start to be honest... Very disappointed by this New Yarmouth 1994. The flavour profile is generic, boring and not what you expect from a New Yarmouth of this age. The price is ridiculous.
