Blind, most tasters here would swear it's a straight Trinidad rum — the menthol-and-eucalyptus TDL profile leads the way. Mint, oak and spice on the nose, then caramel and that cooling menthol freshness on the palate, with the Monymusk share adding a lighter twist of citrus and tropical fruit. At 56.4% the alcohol sits surprisingly quiet. Only the finish runs a touch short.

Tasting at Rhum Fest 2026. N.B. tasted alongside the TDL 2003 in the Card series for Swell fans. I preferred the nose of the TDL and the palate of the Blend. 👃 Freshly picked mint, sweet peach, big basket of fruits (tropical, orchard, I also find a slight note of red fruits), all with a slightly caramelized aspect. 😋 ⛳ 💡

#7270 02.09.2026 Relaxing with a few samples while watching a Bollywood movie on Amazon prime. Really nice blend with an OK price tag at release in my mind. Well balanced profile with mint, fruits, spice, roasted wood, nutts, chocolate, caramel and a light bitter finish.

Another blend from Swell, which scores points for the integration of alcohol. Personally, the T.D.L mint is a bit too dominant for me. What I have to criticize a bit is the somewhat short finish. But in my opinion, the price is a bit too ambitious.

Very pleasant blend from Swell - Trinidad and Jamaica harmonize very well as usual. Still, one has to wonder if the components separately wouldn't have delivered an equally good taste experience.

Tasted at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026, directly with a Malted Uncle who was rightly proud of this release. A very nice blend. It probably would have sold better as a single cask full proof. Here, there’s real work on the blend and the result is superb. Very much leaning TDL, with a nice twist brought by the Monymusk. Superb

An exceptional blend that works well. The menthol freshness combined with tropical fruits is something completely new... and good. The alcohol is perfectly integrated and the rum spreads very pleasantly soft on the palate. It is quite complex and you keep noticing new aromas from the nose to the finish.

Mika from Swell is now known for various blend experiments, so you can be excited here again. First, aromas of tropical fruits and some menthol greet you, yeah that was expected with TDL and Monymusk. But how does the rum drink? I find it pleasantly soft, the ABV is perfectly chosen and we simply have a great taste in the glass. The TDL with its menthol freshness complements the Monymusk very well. The finish could last a bit longer but otherwise a lot was done right here - recommendation!

Blindly, I would have definitely guessed TDL. Nice mint note, but it feels a bit rounder, tamed. I don't taste anything from Monymusk, but maybe that's just why it's a bit rounder. Super blend!

Tasted during Rhum Fest Paris 2026. This is one of Swell de Spirits' release I enjoyed the most. I'm usually not a lot into blends, but here it works perfectly. On the nose, I first get tropical fruits and citrus. The TDL menthol shows up more clearly on the palate, followed by fresh fruits. Finale is long on the menthol side.

A blend of TDL and Monymusk. Really cool color, clear red gold, also something for the eye with the bottle. On the nose, I primarily get TDL aromatics. Mint, oak, spice. The other fruit aromas from the Monymusk part are probably only there because I'm looking for them (so very light to my nose). On the palate, delicious spice with caramel and that menthol freshness that I like so much. In the rather short finish, the combo of mint and cask notes and then also light fruity nuances. Honestly, blind I would probably have thought the rum was a pure TDL - but that doesn't detract from the quality. Drinks very smoothly with well-hidden ABV. Great blend.

Still quite closed on the nose, only the alcohol bites a bit. But the TDL profile is recognizable. On the palate very smooth despite the high alcohol content. Wow, I like this! The well-known light fruity TDL profile is nicely complemented by the younger and somewhat more sparkling profile of the Monymusk 2010. This shifts the yellow fruit notes into slightly sour aromas like mandarin or grapefruit, which works well here. Really tasty! Only the finish is not very long. For me, a very successful experiment, but maybe a bit too ambitious price-wise.

On the nose: A fine and classy tension that grabs you right away! Notes of varnish, sea air, and eucalyptus explode before sliding majestically into a lush basket of mango, banana, and apricot. On the palate: A high-wire act of balance! The balance between the fruit's sweetness and the spice kick is surgically precise. **+ The finish: Endless, masterfully laid out, and constantly evolving. A true journey that stretches over time.
