After the last blend of LongPond and Hampden didn’t do it for me at all, I was skeptical here. Unjustified, absolutely convincing harmonious blend. The early marriage and then 30 years of aging in the cask were just right. Also, thanks to the low ABV, it’s absolutely suitable as a high-level daily sipper. I’d guess Port Mourant and a Clarendon here. Esters can be perceived very subtly in the background. I really like it.

I was very curious about this allem blend and at the same time skeptical because of the low alcohol content. Jamaica is noticeable on the nose and palate if you know it. The long time in the barrel has taken the edges off the rum. In a blind tasting with bourbon, the rum would probably pass as a submarine. In my view, good but nothing more.

You can recognize both components, but they don't harmonize particularly well together. Also here, the individual components probably would have worked better separately. I would have expected significantly higher esters.

A successful experiment, both blend quite well together here, with the Guyana portion clearly dominating. The subtle fresh fruit notes with delicate esters are very pleasant. Nice sipper.

Ah yes, I find this one quite nice. Rather relaxed but it doesn't lack interest. A fruity, fresh and buttery nose. More fruit on the palate with a hint of ester and chili. Average and dry finish but carried by the fruits and sweetness. Soft but cool mix.

A blend from Whisky Jury that unfortunately couldn't really convince me. Somehow this bottling is neither here nor there. The markers are recognizable, but for me it doesn't fit 100% together.

On the nose: Woody, dry, light. Light vanilla notes. Light earthy notes. Light banana notes. Taste: Light. Woody. Light spicy notes, light esters and light molasses notes and oily, slightly bitter mouthfeel at first. Palate changes towards sweeter notes with toffee notes and creamy mouthfeel. Little bit of peaches and yellow fruits in the end. Finish: Dark chocolate at first. Light woody notes and roasted notes after that. Dry finish. Short-medium finish. Leaning more Guyana notes and its easy sipper with 45% abv, but for me, the this doesnt offer that kind range of palate and notes that would justify the high prive tag.

26/06/2026: Road Rummers Supertasting @ TastToe. It becomes immediately clear that the balance of this blend is near perfect. The Jamaican part could have easily overpowered it, but it's not the case here. The Guyanese profile shines through as well. Very well done, but the current price is too high for me.

Wow, what is this? Low-ester Jamaica meets Guyana, and in the most relaxed way possible. This is probably the most expensive and at the same time highest quality easy sipper I've had in a glass so far. The fruitiness of the Jamaican perfectly complements the profile of the Guyana. A really nice one, but for a relaxed (high-quality) easy sipper, it's almost a bit too pricey.

On the nose a relatively present Guyana leaning towards chocolate, accompanied by what seems to be a Clarendon, with its recognizable fruitiness. On the palate, the Clarendon slightly dominates. Quite oily in the mouth. A salty touch, a bit strange, in the middle and end of the mouth. It's not bad, but an alcohol degree far too low for this blend to be interesting. As for the price, it is much too high compared to the final result.

Quite nice, that probably describes it best here. I had expected a bit more from this blend. Lots of wood, hints of fruit and chocolate. But unfortunately also quite bitter. The alcohol is also surprisingly present.
