Nobilis Enmore #57 Guyana Enmore 1992 "Bottled for German Rum Fest 2026" Selected in collaboration with Stefan & Kevin MEC
"Very much continental Versailles essence here" is how one taster nails this old MEC Enmore, and the rest agree it needs time — give it 45 minutes to two hours in the glass. Then out come leather, dried plum, dark chocolate and that unmistakable pencil-shaving note, all wrapped in deep oak. Dense, oily and heavy at 56.6%, with the alcohol beautifully integrated. A cool-evening sipper, not an everyday pour.
The community says- Leather & pencil depth
- Great cask pick
- Long oily finish

#1786 24-04-2026 - Rate 9.5 Got a small sample from our friends at Nobilis. Was picking up some other bottles when Kenneth slipped this one into the box. What a treat. Amazing Enmore. A contender to be the best Enmore I have ever tasted. I love that it’s ABV is 56,6% and not around 50% Gives some more power to the taste. Kevin would not rate because he has been involved is the selection af the cast. But I will rate it - 9.5 Perhaps 9.6 the next time i taste it. Can’t wait until Berlin 😊🥃 The only Nobilis rum better then this one is Hampden 27. 14-08-2026 - Rate 9.5 28-08-2026 - Rate 9.5 29-08-2026 - Rate 9.5

Quick edit: as I said, just an 8.8 for me, but since I’m not a big fan of the MECs, that’s a really good rating from me. Tasted together with the Franconian Tasting Gang. Thanks to Jakob for providing the sample. Thanks also to Stefan and Kevin, you really picked a good cask. The 92 MECs aren’t exactly my favorites, but I really liked this one. Towards the end, though, it got a bit too oaky for me.

Very beautiful reddish-brown color in the glass and also a few crumbs from the cask Nose: heavy and rich, lots of roasted marzipan, lots of spicy plum jam Palate: again very intense, definitely not too bitter, dried plums, a little peppery, lots of spice Finish: long and warming, not too bitter, very spicy and lots of cask influence What a beautiful, old Guyana rum! Very welcome now that the days are getting shorter again!

The new bottling for the GRF 26 by Nobilis (KevinDK and MoparRules) comes with a real bang.. I love these heavy, dark, spicy old Enmore’s. From the nose to the finish, you’re continuously accompanied by these heavy woody, spicy aromas paired with dried plum and pencil lead. Certainly not a rum for every day, but on cool evenings a perfect companion for relaxed hours 👍🏻
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Insanely elegant and definitely on par with its sister casks from 1992. Thick, heavy, oily, bitter-sweet and spicy. Strong mocha, dark chocolate, violets, bitter orange, lavender and leather, pencil shavings in the background, cinnamon and dried banana, as well as lots of tannins. I like that this one is less herbal than, for example, the Flensburg. The alcohol integration is really top-notch and the finish is really long! Great bottling for the upcoming GRF 2026!
Review by Skyfly
First tasting at the GRF and what can I say!? - totally my thing! This incredibly deep, complex, and dark flavor profile is something "new" rums just can't capture. At this price, you probably won't get it anytime soon.

German Rum Festival 2026 review, so maybe not the most accurate review from me. I did let this rum sit in the glass for ~55 minutes during tasting class, but i feel like it should have needed more time to really open up. Sitting in the glass for a good 55 minutes. On the nose: Woody, roasted. Demerera sugar notes at first? Goes to dry, woody and roasted nutty notes with little bit of dried fruits. Mocha notes. Leather notes Taste: Intense at first. Rich nutty/hazelnuts or mocha coffee type of note as main note, woody notes, roasted. Burnt demerera sugar here and there. Pencil shavings Finish: Hazelnuts, chocolate notes, pencil shavings. Woody notes. Leather. Light oily mouthfeel. Dry Really good, but i feel like it could be better just by sitting longer time in the glass. If i get sample of this somehow, i do another review.

Excellent Enmore MEC profile at the top of the 1992 vintage. Leather and licorice, bitter-sweet notes of anise, allspice, vanilla, dark caramel, chocolate, coffee, all accompanied by rich wood, plus subtle dried fruits... this opulence of aromas is typical for the Marque and also known from other representatives of the vintage, but it reaches an impressive level in its balanced complexity that absolutely excites me and makes this Enmore bottling my number 1 of the vintage. Great.

A REV to melt away 🫠 Very pleasant familiar smell from Guyana, with light caramel and chocolate notes. Very round and soft on the palate, with nice fruit and tobacco. Lovely sweetness and a bit of tea come through gradually. The alcohol is almost not noticeable in the finish, a great drop, unfortunately a bit expensive, at least for me. Many thanks for the sample.
Review by Florent Apl
Wood-forward, it opens on prunes, dried plums, moka and chocolate, with a dark tobacco note. It has a slight bitterness due to the wood influence, but not too much. It's rather dry, there's a few dried fruits here. Overall, a nice dark Kenmore, however the finale is quite short.

I had the rum basically as a barrel sample already at the big Nobilis tasting at Rumdepot in the glass, where it already stood out. Yesterday I tasted it again solo in peace and would have blindly thought it was a 91 KFM. Licorice, leather, wood, no fruit noticeable, very dry. So today I had to bring out a KFM for comparison. The choice fell on RX21932 because this rum is currently the longest aged in my collection. And in the side-by-side tasting it quickly becomes clear that there are big differences between the two styles: The KFM is much (wet) woodier than the MEC, which now even seems a bit fruitier and almost malty. Overall I like the MEC better than the KFM, although the KFM presents a really wonderful finish. Thanks to the Nobilis team as well as Kevin and Stefan for this unique bottling!

Wow, such a bottling from the hands of our community, by Nobilis and selected with Kevin and Stefan – respect! A great MEC 1992 Guyana with spectacular color – that first! I was very excited and extremely curious, thanks to Kevin for the sample, I enjoyed the rum with Thunderbird. Because: you need time, lots of time for this bottling. It’s powerful and comes out very strong from the glass and needs to develop and settle. On the nose, it slowly opens up, becomes more accessible and round after half an hour. Then the fine aromas of leather, Demerara sugar, and meaty notes with pencil shavings in the background come through. For tongue and palate, you should first take a small drop and let it work before sipping. That at least opens my taste buds and prepares me for the upcoming spectacle! Dark, deep, and complex, there’s a lot to do and taste, great release, fantastically chosen and shouldn’t have stayed in the barrel any longer. So wood, fruity, and bitter aromas balance each other, the alcohol is very well integrated and brings a great mouthfeel.

Amazing 1992 MEC 💪 Maybe the most intense/deep in leather, tobacco, coffee, bitter chocolate, menthol and varnish/nail polish. If you like the extrem ones with a long aftertaste😁this is for you. If you preffer more "elegant/balance", the Sponge fits better. I like both 🤩

Very much continental Versailles essence here. Bottled at a very good point in time.

Awesome stuff, not quite as fruity as Flensburg

This is something special. Nobilis choose barrel and its something between enmore 1990 in noise and taste and something between 1994 in finish and colour. Amaizing famous choice boys. 🤟🏻👍👍👍🥃(plum, pencil shavings and mirabel) The Beast Retaste 17.9.2026 9,4

Thanks Jakob for the tasting. Wonderful nose with old leather, fresh plums, and a nice pencil note. It needs some time in the glass, then it comes with a light caramel sweetness, dark chocolate, and a slightly woody finish.
Review by Chrischi78
Really really good. Dark cocoa, wood, tobacco, a bit of leather. Alcohol is sensationally integrated. Truly a perfect cask selection. Remarkable Enmore. I guess I have to save up...

This is an extremely powerful Guyana Enmore with woody depth. On the nose, I encounter wood, leather, plum, cask notes, pencil shavings, and licorice. Then a creamy side emerges with caramel, dried dates, mocha, banana, and espresso. On the palate, I immediately get a good dose of cask influence. Wood, roasted notes, leather, licorice, pencil shavings, and dried plum are complemented by spicy tannins, tobacco, dark chocolate, and anise. Dried date and plum round off the aroma with dark fruit flavors. The long and intense finish has plenty of wood, leather, spicy tannins, dried plum, and roasted notes. Chocolate, cinnamon, and earthy notes skillfully round off the finish. This '92 Enmore is quite woody and intense but worth every experience and offers real depth with spicy dark aromas. Thanks to @RumTaTa for the great sample and to Kevin and Stefan for the cask selection 😀

Heavy, spicy, dark, woody, toasty. This character runs from the nose, through the palate, to the finish. Along with dried plum, dark chocolate, and despite the dark character, a very pleasant sweetness. Thanks to Kevin and Stefan!
Review by Buddudharma
The DNA is unmistakably Enmore, somewhat similar to a 94er REV, but a bit drier, with more leather and anise, and less plum. The profile is very nicely balanced and the ABV is just right. Great cask selection!

Just discovered at the ROA Belgium tasting, superb Guyana, a nice "little" Enmore that drinks itself endlessly... Very addictive!!!

Many thanks for this wonderful sample and I can't wait to get my hands on a bottle.

Discovered at GRF 2026, now enjoying it calmly at home. For me personally, quite a surprise—I had expected a pretty woody brew here. Of course, this rum has a lot of wood; after 34 years in the barrel, anything else would be surprising. Actually, the amount is just about acceptable and exciting for me. It all ties nicely into a potpourri of dark aromas. The range goes from lovely dark chocolate through dried fruits and spices to leather and coffee. The typical Enmore character isn’t lost either, reminding us of chewing on pencils during class. An exciting bottling that naturally comes with a steep price but can definitely be fun!

Magnificent! A marvel and I find it much better than the Versaille 1994! In the same tones but more complex, less of that coffee taste, more fruity, a strong "come back for more" taste! I definitely need a bottle! Can't wait for August!

GRF 2026: Great stuff. It lays richly over the tongue, gives off a wonderful aroma, and all that lasts very long. Unfortunately, at the fair, there wasn't really time to properly enjoy the rum, which it definitely deserved (maybe later as a sample).

03/10/2026: tasted @ Salon du Rhum 2026. One of the highlights of the day! An old Enmore of very high quality, I love this style of rum. I wish I could taste it a second time at home to give it the time it deserves, but for now the score remains 9.0.

What a rum. Got to taste it already in spring and ordered my bottle for the 15th GRF. Enjoyed it again there. Intense notes of dried plum, oily, slightly woody. Caramel and slightly ethereal. Stays long on the tongue.

If you like rum, you'll want to try this. History in a glass. I love old Enmore.

Highly expected tasting 1992 Enmore. Dark opulent colour. Nose is rich, roasted notes, plumb, after some time in the glass it opens up to leather, spice, demerara sugar, dried fruits. Palate is spectacular! It shows very tasty walnut notes, wood, roasted caramel, leather, bitter and spicy notes, alcohol is well integrated. Long finish with oily and spicy notes. Amazing rum. Congrats Stefan and Kevin for sorting this barrel! I need to get more of it!

After the tasting at the event, now again in peace: Very dense and heavy profile. Everything from leather to tobacco and wood is there, with a hint of licorice. Undoubtedly a great rum, but unfortunately it doesn't quite hit my taste. I miss something to lighten up the heaviness a bit.
Review by Pavel Spacek
Nice MWC profile, definitely. Too watery liquid imho

Wow! Come on, guys, you have to try this one! So complex and fruity, with notes of wood, plums, and oranges. Absolutely amazing! Had the pleasure of tasting it at Nobilis Garage with the Nobilis guys. Thanks for this unforgettable experience!

Wood, spices, and a nice floral side (jasmine?). Salon note to be confirmed.

Really awesome stuff! After tasting it several times, simply amazing!
Review by Tomáš Jankovský
This rum has a beautifully dark amber-mahogany color. I smell woody aromas, coffee, and tobacco notes. Maybe a bit of varnish. On the palate, I taste wood again, bitter chocolate, and licorice. It’s pleasantly strong and overall an excellent rum.
