8,4:On the nose, port barrel impact is strong, balances slightly rough Foursquare, with tons of fruits like dried apricots, raisins, dates, red fruits coconut, citrus fruits, some candied, makes marmelade like feeling.Roasted wood notes like leather, chocolate, burnt sugar, caramel, maple, vanilla, additionaly smoothen the rum. On aeration, tropical fruits like pineapple are out, earthy molasses with tobacco, medicinal notes like glue, rubber, metallic patina and biscuits, roasted nuts. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is slightly metallic, alcoholic, but port barrel finish helps smoothening the occupation of our tasting buds with various fruits from dried, tropical to citrus fruits, marmelade like, syrupy, some overripe, sweet toasted wood notes like caramel, maple, biscuits, pastry, nuts, leather, spicy vanilla, slightly resinous, bitter, some dairy hints join, as molasses brings licorice, earthy tobacco. 8,2:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, slightly metallic, buttery, molasses is thick, candied, dark with black tea, licorice, slightly floral, oak is toasted with dark chocolate, caramel, biscuits, spicy with baking spices, nutty, meaty and fruits dried, tropical and citrus, with some plums.

You get exactly what you expect from a Foursquare here. The nose is a bit different, alongside coconut there are also red fruits and some chocolate. On the palate, a slight sweetness thanks to the coconut.

I'm happy to write the first comment on this rum here. This is naturally a subjective opinion according to my taste. The nose is nicely sweet with tropical fruits, chocolate, a bit of coffee and of course raisins. Roasted wood. On the palate, the light 55% is hardly noticeable, for me it's a bit watery and too thin, not as intense as I expected but the taste is good, sweet but not much. Anyway, the taste is fruity, raisins and roasted wood, a bit of coffee and chocolate. The finish is light, not very long, alcohol is well integrated with no sharp edges. I think this is a rum you can always drink, nothing outstanding but still with good taste.
