Very, very tasty and smooth 19-year-old Haiti rum. The alcohol is surprisingly well integrated, and it's fruitier than expected, although the cask brings a lot of sweetness and spice. A bit of white chocolate and milk chocolate, plus lots of tropical fruits like banana, mango, and papaya, a pleasant light acidity, some vanilla and tonka bean... A very nice bottling, even though I wouldn't have immediately guessed Haiti blind.

I’m not a Barbancourt fan, but RR nailed this one. Where their rums are typically too round and flat for me, this has plenty of character and spice.
