Sipped neat, this drinks as a multi-distillery blend where you can pick apart the pieces: Trinidad menthol leads, then tropical fruit, a touch of caramel and a roasted, slightly medicinal edge underneath. At 58% the alcohol sits well integrated rather than hot. Several tasters name the components — TDL, Savanna, New Yarmouth, Travellers — and credit the last for smoothing the edges. Long, fairly dark finish.

#7232 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. Very nice release with a decent price tag in my mind. My quick notes while tasting. Intense, fruits, caramel, chocolate, mint, medicinal, pastries, herbs, molasse, ester, wood, sweet.

Probiert am German Rum Fest 2026 bei den super netten Leuten von Vagabond, die wie man merkt mit voller Leidenschaft ihren Rum abfüllen und auch präsentieren. Der Blend ist ausgezeichnet, alle einzelnen Komponenten harmonieren m.E. perfekt miteinander.

This is a nice blend, the TDL comes forward first with the typical menthol notes. There are tropical fruits and a hint of caramel, the Savanna character comes through along with a bit of roasted New Yarmouth. The Travellers adds a lot of smoothness and rounds off the taste. A great blend, there's a lot to discover. The empty glass smells completely of Savanna, awesome. Alcohol nicely integrated and a great finish.

Sample vom GRF‘26. ein handwerklich hervorragend gemachter Blend. Nase: Schön intensiv. Hier kommt viel gleichzeitig; frische Minze neben milder Kamille, süße Banane mit getrockneter Aprikose, Sahnetoffee begleitet von einem Hauch Pfeifentabak. Alles wirkt einzeln passend und zusammen harmonisch. Da muss ich gar nicht versuchen, die einzelnen 4 Blend-Anteile herauszufiltern, Nicolas hat einfach alles sehr gut zusammenfügt. Gefällt mir richtig gut. 8,9 Gaumen: hier kommt die Minze deutlich intensiver rüber, wird aber eng begleitet von einer bitteren, metallischen Note, nah an Limette oder Zitronenschale. Schön würzig mit etwas Muskat und Holz. Hinten ein bisschen Johannisbeere und wieder Minze. Für mich etwas zu sehr auf der bitteren Seite, aber trotzdem sehr gut. 8,5

Tasted that one during a Vagabond spirits online tasting thanks to Rum Explorer. This is a nice blend, the TDL comes out first with the typical menthol notes. There are tropical fruits, I get more the New Yarmouth than the Savanna. To my surprise, the Travellers is very noticeable, it adds a lot of smoothness to the whole and round the edges.

On the nose, a very empyreumatic Trinidad, even a bit of hydrocarbons. You could almost confuse it with a Caroni. The palate is very dark and heavy. Fat peach juice at the end of the palate. Long and relatively dark finish. Very nice blend to close the most beautiful series of their releases. Shows that often and depending on the batches, I either love or hate Vagabond.
